Something was different about today. The pale child knew that much. She cocked her head questioningly at her caretaker before following, boldly pressing on into the fray. She did not seem afraid even as the darkness of the forest turned slowly to a more open space, much different than their darkness. Large ears perked forward, one flopped over comically, and then the ghost child dashed towards the light with unbridled enthusiasm, barking an invitation to the caretaker and the dark child over her shoulder as she did so.
@Astara pop in whenever if you want!
The dark one was the more reluctant of the pair and stayed in the shades while the light child eagerly bantered out into the sunlight. It was oddly warm on her fur, different from the specks of sunlight that some places within their homeland had, and the wideness of it all was simply mind-blowing.
The pale child looked over her shoulder at the caretaker and the dark one who stayed back. The caretaker was sniffing about and the ghost mimicked the caretaker for a moment, lowering nose and sniffing about. There were
so many scents though that the ghost could not make sense of it all in any way. Tail whirred excitedly as she grew distracted by a gust of wind passing through the blades of grass, sending them brushing gently against her hocks, and she pounced towards her backside, turning round in mid-air and landing with a few blades of grass caught between her paws.
The world was full of wonder and the ghost saw little danger in it. The soft sun upon her fur felt nice and the pale child happily played in the meadow under the watchful eye of the caretaker. She occasionally returned to the caretaker and the dark one to woof in the dark one's face in invitation before she zoomed off again, happily running around. She grabbed a few flowers between her teeth and threw them up in the air. Pieces of grass, flowers and petals fell back on her face, covering her comically in all sorts of colours over time.
"Rawarwarawrrrr!" the pale child growled at the bits of petal and grass as she snapped her teeth at them and they covered her. Being out here was nice; the forest had been comforting enough but the sun warmed her fur and made her stand out less among the scenery. As the dark one joined the pale child covered her in flowers too, likely followed by a play fight because she would not simply be covered in pretty flowers! Then once she was done playing the pale child returned to the caretaker's side and yawned to signify that she was ready to return to the darkness once more.
let's fade this? :)
