Slick had had plenty of time to get familiar with the area. She enjoyed the lands immensely and now it was time for her to repay the captains here. Truthfully, Slick hadn't expected to like it too much here but without the big angry guy she had met on the borders, things were rather nice.

Her lean form moved about as she tried to pick up a familiar scent. Rosalyn. The auburn female had been the one to take her in and saved her from the beast on the borders. It only seemed fitting that she find her to discuss Slick's future in the coastal pack.
updated beyond 2-3 future threads so bein super vague haha

A lot had happened since Rosalyn's return to the shore, but she was still sore as hell, so she physically had been taking it easy. Another week, she figured, and then she'd be in pretty good shape again.

The injuries were less than what she'd gotten from the last cougar she encountered, but they were more visual, a somewhat unsightly mess that would probably scar her hip heavily, It was stupid, and it was vain, but the girl in her still mourned each marring.

When Slick found her, she was lying in the shade at the edge of the water, about to perhaps go look for a fish or two.  Fishing was a fairly low energy form of hunting, perfect for now.

"Hey!"  She wasn't sure if the other woman saw her in the shade and greeted her, glad to see Tetsubo hadn't chased her off for good yet.
Her ears stood tall at the sound of a familiar voice. Oi! Just t'gal ah wanted ta see. Slick spoke with a grin a mile wide, tail swishing behind her with friendliness. It was rather nice she hadn't had to look too hard for the female. Was hopin' ta talk ta ya 'bout somethin' if yer not busy. Her grin turned a bit cheeky as she settled onto her rear near the First Mate.

Figured ah ought ta start doin' a bit more 'round here.
Slick.  That was her name.  Rosalyn filed that away... random wolves she didn't mind forgetting, but with crew, she needed to recall.

"I suppose I can make time," she said with a slight joking reluctance and a smile... she'd been doing nothing, but nothing was sometimes a nice thing to be doing. "What were you interested in doin?"
She chuckled at the auburn female's answer. Rosalyn was alright (more than alright really) in Slick's book. Much better than the beast that had been with them on the borders. Luckily she seemed to have escaped his attention for now.

Ah was thinkin' ah could keep a lookout. Both in 'ere and out t'ere. She waved from their territory out to the lands that would be past there borders with her muzzle. Ah'm lean n' quick. The Swab did a half turn as if to show off what she meant. It was obvious she wasn't made for fighting but she sure could run like hell.
Rosalyn considered it a minute.  "Aye, you look the type, and we can always use runners to keep an eye on things."  She had performed that role herself since joining, but now circumstances were changing, and she'd need to stick closer to home.

"You scouted much before?"  Obviously she had traveled, but doing so for a crew was different.  Rosalyn wasn't against starting shit, but probably best to avoid pointless conflict (for now).

Later? Well, they were pirates after all.
