Her history is not much unlike that of others of her species. She was born amongst a few littermates to the pack alphas. After staying with them through one litter, Harlyn decided to set out on her own to experience more of what life had to offer and wound up in the Teekon Wilds, where she first met the man she would eventually take as her mate.

Harlyn and Mordecai founded their own pack together in Lost Creek Hollow, which had long been a dream of hers. Shortly after the founding, her second dream came true when she had her first litter. Things sort of went to hell after that - a cougar attacked and nearly murdered her mate, then attacked and nearly murdered her best friend, and then their once full and thriving pack began to dwindle in numbers until she and Mordecai decided to leave and find a new home with their three young kids.

Somewhere in there, Harlyn drugged and attempted to sacrifice one of her packmates to the cougar in an effort to appease the gods. It uh. It didn't work out so well.

The family found shelter with a newly formed pack called Marauder's Keep, but Harlyn's bad luck persisted when Mordecai disappeared (for a while - he came back) and she then suffered a grievous injury after a fall. The alpha's son was the first to find her and after trying to eat her (Harlyn stopped him, no worries), they were found by his mother as well as Harlyn's son and her mate. The alpha and Mordecai fought and their son, Pippin, ran away after the violence.

This was about the time her daughter began suffering from bouts of depression attempted suicide, Harlyn and Mordecai determined then that it was time to move on. They left behind her son, Silas, with the wolves of the Keep in hopes of allowing him to live a normal life of peace, but took their daughter with them to return to the druids of the forest of Harlyn's birth to seek their spiritual guidance in healing the darkness in Larkspur's soul.

Mordecai and Harlyn had their second litter in Sablemoon Forest. Larkspur left to find her own way while they raised their newest two and Harlyn rose to the highest rank amongst the druids. She never forgot the sons she had left behind though, so when her youngest daughter grew old enough and eager enough, Harlyn gave her instructions to return to the Wilds and find her brothers, then to come home and tell her of their fates.

Mariposa said farewell to her parents and left to fulfill her mother's wishes, unaware that Mordecai's own days were numbered. He passed away only a month after her departure, leaving Harlyn alone to await Poe's return, at which point she too will likely pass on from the growth in her abdomen that I just gave her in the last five minutes.
