Raven was born and grew up in Redhawk Caldera. One of her first friends was Tiger Blackthorn, who got her interested in medicine and started her on the path to earning the trade. When she was nearly a year old, she went searching for a loved one and ended up getting very lost. She briefly stayed at Donnelaith before attempting to find her way back home... only to become even more lost. It took her many months but she finally found her way back home just in time to help her mother and the rest of the pack cope with her father's sudden death. A series of traumatic events in her childhood made growing up difficult for her, and she spent much of her youth dealing with varying degrees of post-traumatic stress. Fortunately, as she matured into adulthood, she got past it and ended up mostly normal and well-adjusted.

She never aspired to power or status, but suddenly in the early spring of 2018, she became Alpha of the Redhawks when her sister, Towhee, decided she no longer wished to lead. This came at the same time that Raven grew close with Quixote, ultimately becoming mates and conceiving their first litter. Due to her position as alpha of the Redhawks and eldest female/matriarch of the Redhawk family, Raven chose to keep her surname rather than take up Quixote's. After a traumatic attack at the hands of her brother, Screech -- whom she immediately disowned and sentenced to death -- she gave birth to Vasa, Kite, Owen, and Phoebe Redhawk-Voulge in a slightly early delivery on June 25, 2018. Two puppies, Seagull and Grey Jay, were stillborn. Raven blames Screech for the stillbirths and Kite's birth defect.

Several months into her tenure as alpha female of the Redhawks, one of her closest friends (Ceara) was taken captive by the wolves of Blackfeather Woods. Unaware of her whereabouts, Raven threw herself into searching for Ceara with such fervor and dedication that her attentions were drawn somewhat away from her role as leader of her pack. Sensing an opportunity, Caiaphas -- a well-respected member of the pack -- challenged Raven for her place in the pack. With the help of her family and fellow packmates, Raven managed to defend her position but the challenge and the allegations of incompetence that came with it seriously undermined Raven's confidence in her ability to lead and made her question if she actually was the best leader for the Redhawks. After some consideration, she elected to step down from leadership to focus instead on raising her children.


In the spring of 2019, when her pups were fully grown and independent, after much consideration Raven reclaimed her position as alpha female alongside Quixote. Due to the trauma of losing two of their pups during childbirth the prior year, it took a great deal of soul searching for the alpha pair to decide they wanted to try having another litter. The decision was made, though, and Raven became pregnant in late April. A series of crazy events happened in the weeks after that, initiated by Towhee and Phox's announcement that they were leaving to establish Asterism Grove. This left the Redhawks in a precarious position numbers-wise, and Raven worried about what their low membership might mean for the future of the pack. Around this same time, her beloved sister and last remaining littermate, Wildfire, passed away from some sort of cancer in her throat.

Tired of Heron Lake Plateau and all the sour memories it contained for her, Raven convinced Quixote to move the pack to the neighboring Golden Glade to make a fresh start in a setting that was safer for young pups. Around that same time, in an interestingly beneficial twist of fate, Rannoch and Liffey Frostfur showed up on her doorstep with their family in tow and proposed merging their two families together, with Rannoch and Liffey serving as leaders alongside the Redhawk alphas. Raven and Quixote agreed and, combining the names of the two families, changed the name of the pack to Frosthawks. So inspired was she by this new leaf she'd turned over that she has considered changing her own surname to Frosthawk, though she hasn't actually made up her mind about it yet.

Soon after they settled in Golden Glade, Raven gave birth to three healthy puppies on June 30, 2019 -- Bateleur "Wildfire" (a tribute to her late sister), Oriole "Orr" (a tribute to a brother lost in infancy), and Yossarian Redhawk-Voulge.
