An odd breeding programme by a lone hunter - who attempted to bring a sighthound’s sight into the endurance of a wolf – created Cirrus’s predecessors. Although his ‘programme’ was stopped after a couple of generations due to an apparent lack of success, it appears some of the genes had remained strong in the bloodline but underlying, skipping a few generations. When the last of his wolves’ litters showed no outward signs, the breeder deposited the pups with a sanctuary. The sanctuary raised them alongside their own mother with no human contact until they were weaned, then managed to release the pack of puppies successfully into the wild. His mother remained behind in the sanctuary.

 

Since then he travelled with his siblings for a couple of years, as they were spurned by most other wolves due to their unusual features. After being chased by a bear, they were separated, and Cirrus stupidly set out in the wrong direction to look for them. He stumbled into the Teekon wilds on this premise.
