She was raised in a tribe of close knit family groups, ones who had lands extremely close together. Arranged marriages between the groups were common. Her people, the Tekana, were the largest and her father was the leader. He had arranged to marry her to a man who was not loyal. He had gotten other she wolves pregnant and planned to keep doing it. Not willing to marry such a man she left her home, searching for a new life.
