Born to the almost lawless Tinve pack south of the Teekon wilds, she was free to do whatever she pleased. However, she soon became angry with the older wolves of the pack, as they enjoyed hunting down anything that moved, including wolves not belonging to their pack. In the short time she lived, the pack quickly depleted their main source of food. The pack started turning on itself to the point where parents were fighting their offspring for prey. The pack's alpha and beta, when they could no longer retrieve enough to sustain themselves, disbanded the pack instead of moving everyone to another location.
Mella, who was already on the verge of starvation, reached the Teekon wilds just in time to see the destruction of the locusts. So far she's managed to just scrape by on the smaller animals who've died, as she doesn't have the energy to catch them herself.
