Giana was born into the world without a mother, but her heartbroken father raised their pups alone in memory of her. For the earliest stages of their life, a rouge woman with only a pup of her own nursed them -- just before they were officially weaned, she was killed defending them from a bear, and Luca was again left the sole parent of now four puppies.
Their first birthday, her other three siblings separated and went off to lead their own lives. Giana and her adopted sister, however, stayed with her father for another year, traveling the lands and learning all they could of the stars and the way of the warrior.
Around her second birthday, she met Giancarlo. Her father and sister hadn't been ready to settle down, but the kind male gave the couple his blessing and off they went.
Over the next two years with her mate, they had three children (one litter): Romilda, Stefano, and Carlotta.
Not long after they were grown, Gian became the Don of their family. Things were a little hectic for a while, but the real threat showed itself in their neighboring pack. To protect the family, her mate decided they would be going to be leaving Saltlick Basin. Though she'd grown fond of the place, the self-proclaimed queen was happy to be on the move again: this time with more family.
They are together a short time, however, before Giancarlo goes off to scout and never returns, and one by one almost all of the group wandered off or, in Primo's case, died.
Assuming that the Ferretti's have abandoned her, a heartbroken Giana wanders her way towards Rising Sun valley. She stays around there a while, refusing to give up her freedom to a pack, before backtracking, where she then falls into a trap Cicero and Kendra set for ill-hearted wolves like herself.
Afterwards, she stumbles her way to the coast and searches for a pack, failing twice. The queen brushes shoulders with death thanks to her untreated wounds going septic, but the witch heir of Donneliath saves her life and revives her faith in the world.
Now, shes found her way back to the Hinterlands and into The Malkaria, knowing she's too weak and will soon be too old to both survive alone or join a pack.
She fits into Molech's pack very well, soon finding a strange male to sire her puppies but raising the children alone -- she gives up a son to the god, but has another son and a daughter.
