Castor was raised upon a small island, and it is there that he learned to care for his sister, Leda. It is there that he fell in love for the first time, perhaps at an age far too young for such serious matters, but it occurred. Now, when she is not looking, Castor can be caught from time to time looking upon his sister with great favor, although his love is reserved for one being, and it was never her. Despite caring for her for practically his entire life, Castor's devotion to Leda is more duty-oriented than any true connection despite their blood ties. He is set in his ways, and looks after her — and will continue to look after her — no matter where the fates may throw them. For now this means they travel together through the wilderness, but in time they will settle somewhere, and perhaps he will relax his hold upon her; Castor clings to his sister desperately, as if she is the last tie to a life and a world which he cannot return to.
