Appearance

The boy is of average size for his age, but tends to look much, much smaller because of how he carries himself. Preferring to cower instead of stand, and creep instead of walk, Robin seems to be in constant fear of something, his lithe form always skittering from place to place on long, skinny legs that never seem to stop trembling. He moves like a serpent, his belly sliding much too close to the earth, all in the hope to never been seen.

Were he not to cower in the dirt like a frightened bird, a lithe build would be visible for all to see. Slender limbs would be showcased as they are the will of his speed, the product of a flighty nature. Such length allows distance to be taken quickly.

His body is draped in a cloak of intricate patterns of red and white, the smooth fur soft to the touch if one were be able to come close enough to feel. His coat thickens considerably during the winter months, and even with his larger size, he still manages to maintain a harmless appearance.

His eyes, oh his fearful eyes. They are a deep shade of ichor, like melted gold. They tend to dart around or stay focused on his paws whenever he speaks, never meeting those of other wolves less one manages to gain his trust.

His voice in of itself is very quiet, and he stutters, which can worsen depending on how anxious or scared he is, but never disappears.
Personality
Seemingly fearful of the world around him, Robin walks with his head down and his tail tucked between his legs. He's a timid—and, at times, cowardly—soul, quiet and uninteresting enough to meld into the scenery and go wholly unnoticed by others. He's also an observer, content with sitting and watching things from afar to keep himself out of any potential danger, imagined or otherwise. More often than not, however, it ends up being the former, as the male has a bit of a wild imagination. Savage killers lurk in every bush, beasts with horns and antlers are inherently dangerous, rainwater can spread diseases...his mind is a witch's brew of anxiety and paranoia.

Lacking a particularly strong heart, Robin hates surprises, so it's fairly easy to startle him. He also isn't one for getting jokes (or telling them), and will either take them seriously or miss the point, altogether. All in all, the male isn't the best at interacting with others, but what he lacks in social skills he makes up for in loyalty. He's a natural-born follower, and takes orders well, giving his utmost respect to those who deserve it. Despite how much he prefers to keep to himself, Robin is also fiercely protective of those he grows close to, and treasures them as if they were his family.
Biography
Robin was the runt of his litter, born last in a set of four, identical brothers. Their pack—a small, militaristic group of wolves—believed in the power of familial bonds and camaraderie, so as soon as they could walk, the brothers were taught to act as a unit; to think of themselves not as individuals, but as a single entity that could accomplish almost anything. The eldest brother, Pan, was the most courageous; Argus and Iora, the middle-born, were the most powerful; and Robin, the smallest and weakest, was skilled at making plans. Oddly enough, he owed this to his paranoia; the young wolf constantly worried over his brothers, fearing that their recklessness would get them into trouble, and though they often teased him for his fretting, they loved him just as much as they loved each other.

Indeed, the bond that the brothers shared was strong, and for a while it seemed as though there was nothing that could break it. Then, well into their second year, Pan was killed in an ambush. Shocked and saddened by his death, the pack mourned him alongside his remaining brothers, who were devastated. Pan had been like a second father to them—a wise and brave wolf, with a heart made of the purest gold—and losing him made them feel as though they'd lost pieces of their own souls.

Filled with insurmountable grief and anger, Argus and Iora swore that they would avenge his death. When they tried to talk Robin into joining them, however, he refused; they were sure to be punished for it, and it wasn't what Pan would have wanted. In the end, the two gave up on trying to convince him and left to carry out their "plan" by themselves. Robin, fearing for their safety, followed them in secret.

In the dead of night, Argus and Iora snuck into a neighboring pack's territory, knowing that Pan's killers lurked somewhere inside. It was meant to be an ambush—much like the one that had taken their eldest brother's life—but there were too few of them for it to work the way they'd hoped, and the wolves found them before they could attack. By the time that Robin got there, the two were struggling to fend off most of the pack. He rushed in to help, but they wouldn't let him; instead, they told him to run, trusting that he would be able to get himself to safety.

So he ran. And though it pained him to leave his brothers behind, he told himself that he wasn't abandoning them. He could go to the pack for help, and save them from the clutches of the murderous wolves. He never made it back in time. Convinced that he had failed his brothers because of his incompetence, he fled his homelands, seeing no reason to return to his pack without them. Little time has passed since then, and he's only just stumbled into the Wilds in the hopes of finding a new life for himself.
