Profile of Dua: Details
Appearance
On the small side of average, lithe but graceful, Dua grew to be the smallest of her sisters - by no means has she ever let that hold her back. Her coat is the purest white; soft, pristine and rarely tarnished due to her somewhat obsessive cleaning regime. She likes to take care of herself. Her somewhat stunted height is likely a homage to her late mother (poor Ada had clearly been the runt of a litter) whilst her striking seafoam green eyes were passed down from her father. Despite her stature, she is not particularly scrawny, her torso is sleek and her limbs are proportionate to her frame. She's pretty, but she'd hush you if you tried to tell her so.
Personality
Overly empathetic from a young age, Dua often finds herself sought out as a shoulder to cry on, peacekeeper or advice giver. She feels very in touch with the emotions of others and reacts accordingly, listening intently and taking in as much information as she can before responding to a situation. She constantly puts problems that others are having ahead of her own issues which she'll brush off, purely because she likes trying to help. Often she won't speak unless spoken to. Being a realist, she can sometimes come off a touch pessimistic without realising. Despite this, she has somewhat of a carefree nature and loves to explore, often collecting items on her travels to remind her of where she's been. She suffers from mild misophobia - a fear of being contaminated with dirt and germs - and so washes, cleans and grooms frequently. A lover of puppies, she dreams of becoming a mother and raising her own. With a soft spoken voice and kind eyes, she's easy to approach and speak to and gives off somewhat of an ethereal vibe. Although she is kind, she tells it like it is and takes no nonsense. If feeling uncharacteristically dejected, she'll keep to herself.
Biography
Dua was the third born daughter to Jett and Ada Dewberry, an elderly couple of Lake Arden in the northern Hunter Valley. The greying couple had tried to conceive every year with no luck, a final attempt had surprisingly brought them three daughters. Mila and Leila were born significantly stronger and Ada worried her smallest child would not survive, however Dua grew to be just as bright and strong as her littermates and only a few noticeable inches shorter. They were raised with kindness, love and affection yet not smothered with it. They were encouraged to explore, push boundaries, test themselves and socialise. The young wolf has mostly positive memories of her upbringing, although she often separated herself from her bickering sisters who seemed to argue over frivolous things like the colour of the sky. Dua often had no time for their silliness and took to exploring by herself.

Following their first birthday, the sisters proceeded to climb the ranks of the small pack. They were the first puppies born in years and so respected and cherished by their packmates. This bothered Dua, who felt as if the wolves in the pack would often soften and sugarcoat things when it came to her and her sisters, feeding them with open promises and false hope - "Oh the drought will pass soon, don't you worry." Being every bit the realist, she wanted to be treated as the elder wolves were and told how it actually was. The drought didn't pass quickly. The lake dried up in the summer and this brought an abundance of problems for the pack. Ada was struggling, the elder wolf was growing weaker as a result of her old age and she struggled to travel for water. She passed away quietly and quickly at the end of August 2017. Jett struggled to cope, his memory had been noticeably declining and only weeks after his mate's death, he wandered off into the night and wasn't seen again. Tracking attempts were in vain. Some say he left because of his broken heart, others because of his suspected dementia. Dua grieved for her parents, but she knew such was the cycle of life.

The rain came in fall. Not long after the near simultaneous death and disappearance of her parents, a second litter was born to the pack. Dua was fascinated by the youngsters and often babysat and taught them what she knew. Although the small pack felt like a family unit, Dua decided to move on in early spring 2018. She had often found herself fascinated by how much land had yet to be explored and knew she wouldn't be happy if she died without travelling. Her sisters decided to do the same, although the two of them vowed to stick together. Even though they bickered like cat and mouse, they depended on each other. Dua had grown slightly distant from them and decided that she wanted to test herself by travelling alone, knowing this would be the best way to improve her solo hunting and tracking skills. She knew she could stick up for herself. Promising to visit Arden Lake if ever the chance arose, she set off to begin the next chapter of her life. Her wandering has brought her ever closer to the unexplored Teekan Valley, a vast landscape that she looks forward to investigating further.
