Gundham is a tall, willowy figure, frame slender and legs reminiscent of stilts. Still, there is a fair amount of muscle beneath the surface from much of his time spent traveling. He is a gray agouti with a light face and legs, and a streak runs down the back of his neck from his forehead. The rest of his body remains swathed in shadows. The cause of his silver patches is a condition called poliosis.

His left eye is an overcast gray, while the right is a vibrant crimson. A scar tears down his eye and onto his cheek, though his vision is unharmed. His "cursed" left foreleg is wrapped in a thick vine. Gundham stands at 32 inches at the shoulder and weighs 107 lbs.

He is rarely seen without the yellow-bellied racer around his neck.

Personality

Gundham suffers from social anxiety and a serious inferiority complex, which he copes with by using a false persona with a superiority complex. However, this persona is not just a facade he presents to others; he has, to some extent, deluded himself into believing that his persona is his true nature. Gundham believes that he is an angel crossed with a demon and has supernatural abilities, referring to everyone else as "mortals". This is a manifestation of the pseudo-condition called chuunibyou.

He speaks in a loud, exaggerated fashion, and he replaces everyday terms with ones from various mythologies (for example, referring to birds as phoenixes). This manner of speaking makes it difficult for others to understand what he's talking about, as it all sounds like nonsense from his own little world. However, most of what he says has a basis in truth and can be understood as such―if one is willing to dig past all the elaborate language.

The persona Gundham fronts is eccentric, dark, and overzealous with a load of pride to boot. He proclaims himself to be an evil, heartless, and violent demon beast tamer. Gundham is the Overlord of Ice and will one day rule the entire world. He has many magical abilities, and if someone below his power level touches him, they will wither and die from the poison that runs through his veins. Due to this, he exudes a barrier that repels others.

All mortals are below him, and he has no need for pointless things like friendship―especially with lowlife mortals. This attitude tends to push others away (usually out of annoyance), which appears to be exactly what he wants, though the complete opposite is true.

In truth, all Gundham wants is a friend. This sounds contradictory at first, as the personality he presents to others pushes people away. However, he does this because he is afraid to open up and become vulnerable to anyone in fear of getting hurt. Gundham, in truth, is a shy, kind, empathetic soul who finds interest in ecology and how other species differ from his own. Lacking wolf friends, he branched out to other animals, knowing that they would not betray him like his kind did.

Passionate and observant, he is highly knowledgeable about other species' diets and behavior. Gundham also has an interest in the occult, which is why he latched onto magic and mythology for his persona.

Biography

Pre-Teekon Wilds

Gundham was born into a large pack to a very kind mother. His father, however, was both physically and verbally abusive until finally banished from the pack. This is where his belief of being the product of an angel and a demon sprouted from.

He'd always been excessively shy and introverted and even suffered from selective mutism at a very young age, refusing to speak to anyone but his mother. Fortunately, he soon overcame this with the aid of therapy. Gundham was bullied by the other children and had very few friends. Eventually, even his so-called "friends" abandoned him to avoid being bullied, themselves. Friendless, Gundham began to avoid others, preferring to head out on his own and befriend other creatures he found. He'd always enjoyed the mythological tales told by the elders. As an adolescent, his interest in the occult grew, and he became highly versed in the stories. This is when Gundham's persona began to form.

One day, just after he turned one year of age, he was told that his mother had died in a hunting accident. Gundham was absolutely crushed, refusing to eat or speak to anyone who attempted to comfort him. Even therapy did not help the crushing sadness from the loss of the one person who loved him and accepted him for who he was. Through the pain and sorrow, his persona overtook him like a raging fire over a dry hill.

It was time for a new chapter in his life. With newfound―albeit false―confidence and a hard outer shell, Gundham left his natal pack. Outwardly, he said it was to find peace in solitude, but really, it was to find his place among people who would accept him.

† Gundham is incredibly uncomfortable with being touched; this is why he exclaims that poison runs through his veins and that touching him results in death. In reality, this "poison" stems from one time when he ate bad berries as a pup.

† He has several animal companions. One is his snake, Oliver, who is always with him. Another is a red-tailed hawk who comes and goes named Hábrók. Then, there are the owls: A snowy owl, Andraste, and a horned owl, Belenus. They occasionally pay him visits, or he may seek them out.
