Pre-Teekon Wilds: Coriander was the youngest in her family, a ragtag little band that lived together beyond the scope of any pack. Her mother was a stoic, impatient healer, too ill-tempered to properly practice her craft among those in need; her brothers were a pair of rambunctious, adventurous twins. It was only her father, gentle and stalwart in his devotion to them all, who she truly shared any similarity with.

Though she was welcome to join the twins in their fun, Cori could never breach the special bond they shared on their own. Her mother's indifferent attitude made her question at times what the healer truly thought of her, whether she was actually loved or not. Her father saw this and tried to fill in those gaps himself, attempting to play the maternal role his mate could not, and for a while he succeeded.

Eventually, however, life among her family grew increasingly more difficult from the emotionally-starved girl. Her father, in desperation to assist her, suggested she leave to find the kind of comfort and relations she sought. Coriander didn't act on it right away--at first she was more hurt that he would make the suggestion than anything--but as the days went by she saw the sense in his suggestion. She would never truly receive what she wanted here.

Coriander left home just after reaching her second year, when it seemed she was ready and trained enough to take on the world. She traveled without quite knowing what she sought, only knowing that she sought something, and hoping she would know it when she found it.
