Appearance
Kaname's coat is a rather dark shade of brown. In dimmed lightings his fur seems almost black in color. Underneath this almost black pelt are strong muscles, especially around his shoulders and neck, but he still maintains a lean frame. He is a bit above average height, but does not tower over any other wolves. His eyes are his most distinctive feature. They are like shards of ice, a pale gray-blue color.
Personality
Kaname is well-spoken charismatic individual. It's hard not to be seduced by his charms. He's quite the flatterer, and will try to make friends with one or more people. His comments are sometimes scathing and cynical, but he usually covers them up. He is quite intelligent and can always make a smart joke or two on a situation, no matter how dreary.

Kaname's true nature is very dark. He would be classified as a sadistic psycho-/sociopath with slight schizophrenia if there were mental testing for wolves. Sometimes he can slip away from his charming mask and show erratic, insane tendencies before calming down. He usually manipulates every person he meets to further his own means, regardless of rank or species. His relationships follow that same goal, and often end badly.
Kaname is very fond of killing and harming others (seeing as he is a sadist). One way you can tell is the way he toys with his prey before killing them.
After unofficially retiring, Kaname has become much more mellow and is showing more of a paternal side of him. His sadism is being replaced by lustful intentions towards his mate, Cara, but so far, only her.

Biography
Kaname was born to a small band of assassins-for-hire who wander the land offering their services for food, land, or protection. At the time of his birth, Kaname's band was employed by the rival of a so called "king" of a land that was experiencing a civil war. He and his siblings were trained the trade of assassins and spies: manipulation, stealth, fear tactics, how to kill quickly and silently, among other lessons. Upon finishing his training, he was sent to the rival "king's" court to gather intelligence. When he was about to relay information to his mother, she was caught, exposed as an assassin and spy, and captured. His father and siblings followed suit, and were executed along with his mother. Knowing that his life was on the line, Kaname fled far from the packs and began life as an independent wandering assassin.
