Large for his age, with charcoal paws in particular signaling that despite current puppyish gawkishness he’ll eventually tip the scales at a higher weight than most wolves. His fur’s a touch longer than most, with brownish undertones to its not-quite-black overall color. His yellow eyes often hold a hint of green and a preoccupied, haunted cast.

Appearance
Still a puppy, but beginning to show signs of what sort of wolf he will eventually become, Galahad is larger than most youngsters and a little more disproportionate, particularly to the eye accustomed to pure wolves. Hints of his domesticated ancestry peek through in his particularly overlarge paws and his especially thick, longer-than-average adult pelt that's growing in, with a bit of a crimp to its longest guard hairs. <p />
Galahad is mostly wolf, however, and rather easy to mistake for a purebred wolf at a distance, albeit one still growing into himself. He moves with the awkward bumbling motions of any puppy, though he frets to himself that this is a sign he will never pass for a “real” pack wolf and often tries to hide this. In general he doesn’t succeed at this small subterfuge. This, along with a puppyhood marked by long lonely stretches and oft-absent caregivers, as a result makes him uncomfortable and even more awkward around strangers. His face often has a pensive, closed cast to it, and his yellow eyes (which vary from gold to faintly green depending on the lighting) are often either far away, or apprehensive and guarded when fixed in the here and now.

Personality
Reserved and uncertain, Galahad can be painfully shy around those he doesn’t know well. Yet he is endlessly curious about the world around him, hungry to learn and be accepted by it while still not really knowing the “rules” of wolfish interaction. Fortunately for him, he’s a quick study on most things, but still—it doesn’t quite come naturally to him.<p />
He doesn’t much like being called out on his heritage, his awkwardness, or anything else “different” about him that puts him in the spotlight. Like most situations he dislikes, however, he tends to withdraw into himself and go quiet and sulky rather than lash out at the object of his discomfort, with rare exceptions. While most comfortable on his own, in a constant painful duality of heart he longs for the acceptance and love of his fellow wolves. He’s sensitive enough to this to be easily manipulable and readily hurt by even the faintest (sometimes outright imagined) sign of rejection. Biography
Born to a young, inexperienced mother who pretty much self-exiled herself from her old pack, and into a mostly-very-short-lived litter, Galahad (the biggest, strongest pup) has had a very isolated life so far—and it shows. He hardly knew his father, who died not long after he was born, and barely knows his mother any better despite the difficult journey they have recently faced together in their trek to Glacier Park. He suspects that his father's death drove his mother crazy, or that perhaps she was always so, but while he wishes things were different he has little experience with which to envision any different life.
