Profile of Acorn: Details
Appearance
Ackley Falcout, known to most as "Acorn," is a lanky, thin female who is petite in stature when compared to her much larger brothers. However, even compared to wolves of a similar build, the young female looks small. Acorn has a sprinter's build that displays minimal muscle and makes her look fairly unimposing at a glance.

Acorn's pelt is a myriad of browns on top and crisp white on the bottom, with a base coat of <font color="#9b6f43"><b>driftwood</b></font>. Atop that is a layer of <font color="#5f4124"><b>irish coffee</b></font>, with the only notable features of her fur being splashes of <font color="#322213"><b>black marlin</b></font> manifesting across her shoulders, coating her outer ears, as eye spots, and as under eye markings. Her eyes experience heterochromia; one is <font color="#69a197"><B>patina</b></font> and the other is <font color="#b89520"><B>nugget</b></font>.

Acorn's neck, chest, stomach, and forelegs are covered in scars; some are no more than inch long scratches, some are obvious as whole patches of skin that had been torn off, while others are nearly half a foot in length cuts in her flesh. Most of the wounds that caused her scars weren't particularly deep, but a pair of fang tracks hidden beneath her ruff could have nearly killed her.
Personality
<b>-</b> Skittish and unwelcoming around males due to an upbringing in a patriarchal, abusive pack.<br><br>
<b>-</b> Distrustful around strangers, but malleable, naive, and gullible around "trustworthy" wolves; Acorn has difficulties sensing whether someone is lying or telling the truth.<br><br>
<b>-</b> Acorn is generally light on her feet and stealthy; this is a trait she supposedly got from her deceased mother.<br><br>
<b>-</b> Has a fear of loud voices and abrupt movement; Acorn's reactions can vary from becoming a shaking, shivering mess (in the case of a situation perceived as safe, yet distressing) to acting like a caged animal (when she actively fears for her life).<br><br>
<b>-</b> Can hold her own in a fight, albeit without practiced ease or finesse.<br><br>
<b>-</b> Is extremely eager to please and can be highly affectionate to those she considers her "new family."<br><br>
<b>-</b> Often over submits out of habit, especially to males.<br><br>
<b>-</b> Has a genuine passion for singing (albeit imperfectly); Acorn often hums or murmurs lyrics under her breath when nervous, as it calms the yearling down.<br><br>
<b>-</b> Feels comfortable around children, but only if she isn't left solely responsible for their well being.<br><br>
<b>-</b> Acorn has clipped, soft speech that is littered with pauses rather than speech fillers.<br><br>
<b>-</b> Is demisexual (must form a close bond with an individual to be sexually attracted to them) with an exclusive attraction to the same gender.
Biography
Ackley Falcout, aka "Acorn," was born alongside three brothers into a patriarchal pack that inhabited the Leviathan Thicket, located in the Pacific Northwest. Her brothers were allowed to ascend the ranks normally while Acorn was stuck as a Waif until she reached sexual maturity; this was true of all female pups born into the Thicket, and it left them the lowest of the low. Additionally, females were typically not permitted to learn skills that did not contribute to: the raising of the pack's children, serving food for banquets, or digging dens.

Occasionally, a particularly weak-looking juvenile would be chosen as a scout; Acorn fit the bill perfectly. She would serve under a scouting master and would learn how to "lead" missions. It was no more than a potential death sentence if things were to go awry; Acorn would be the first wolf the Thicket's enemies saw.
<br><br>
Acorn was chosen especially young, at only six months old. Her father, Eandros, had always treated his only daughter with more kindness than the pack would have permitted if they'd known. It was of no surprise that he took it into his own paws to teach her how to defend herself.
<br><br>
Acorn never did get to find out how or why her father was caught after several months of training his daughter in secret; though the yearling suspected her brothers' involvement. Her father was to be executed; driven from the cliffs Leviathan Thicket considered their western border. Acorn was to expect a sudden "promotion" to Mistress upon his passing, bypassing the intermediate rank of Maiden entirely, which would leave her in the possession of whichever pack male wanted her most.
<br><br>
A scouting mission from a few days prior would prove to have been the key to her escape.
<br><br>
A pack of "man-hating harpies" had always existed fairly close to the Thicket. This branch of what was rumored to be a much larger clan often butted heads with Acorn's pack. It was on this particular mission that the yearling was to "lead" that she first came face to face with them; inspiring warrior women that, for once, did not instill the same kind of fear those stronger than her usually did. There was a familiarity to the sea-colored eyes of some of the "sisters," something in their gaze that drew Acorn to them.
<br><br>
Sure, Acorn still found herself terrified and ran for her life back to the rest of her assigned scouting group, but it was an experience the she-wolf would never forget. Acorn found herself stricken with insomnia; sleep simply wouldn't come for days.
<br><br>
It was the night before Eandros' execution that she made her escape; she had been permitted a brief period of time to say her goodbyes, for Acorn would not be allowed to go to the cliffs. It was during this time alone that she informed him of her plans, at which point the most peculiar expression crossed Eandros' features; nevertheless, he wished his daughter luck.
<br><br>
She was shoved into a spare sleeping space within Themiscrya Coast within hours of her arrival, and was to learn of an opposite world to the one she'd grown up in.
<br><br>
Acorn found some adjustments more difficult than others, but ultimately settled into her new life as a Neophyte fairly easily. Of course, this all changed when she heard claims of three wolves wishing to depart the area. Aktaiê, Psamathe, and the consort Greyjoy were to be leaving with the goal of creating a new branch far from Themiscrya Coast.
<br><br>
A desire to be part of something worthwhile and new overtook Acorn; she'd have to find a way to leave with them. It wouldn't hurt that the female would be around smaller, closer-knit numbers either; Acorn had always been uncomfortable in a crowd. Especially when that crowd involved a whole subset of wolves she was expected to be dominant towards.
<br><br>
Ultimately, despite all her information-gathering and groveling, Acorn had not been permitted to join the first group. On the bright side, she soon left in the company of half-sisters Akantha and Leukothea, alongside their appointed consort Atlas.
<br><br>
Acorn, for the first time in her life, felt like she could belong. She'd just have to avoid ruining everything in the meantime.
