this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families - Tantalus - February 17, 2016

territory claim! we're officially a thing (: @Amara @Faramir @Maja @Claudia  corny post i think yes

Yes... yes, this would do quite well. Besides Aaron, five other wolves had joined his ranks, one of which he assumed the role of his alphess- regardless of her thoughts on the subject. He assumed her to be perfect for the role and for himself, and therefore she had no say. He assumed, however, that with his good looks and such a high rank she'd have no objection. The second was Faramir, the only other male in the pack and a quite handsome one at that. Due to the similar charm that the brute portrayed, Aaron took no time in requesting him to be his right hand man.

Soon followed the lovely Maja, a bit uneasy (he decided this based upon her expression, which sometimes appeared surprised after she had spoken) but a perfect subordinate all the same. Then there was Claudia, the youngest of the pack and perhaps the most eager- but Aaron did not know her well enough to truly say. With Claudia undoubtedly came Madeline, who was skittish and worrisome, but appeared to have strong wills.

To him, there was nothing better he could ask for, and the man was thrilled with his recruiting. With a proud smile on his face, Aaron let out a loud, long howl. He singled for his wolves to come find him, so he could speak with them- but first to sing with him the claiming of their land.

Their land. This was no longer the unvisited territory of the screaming foxes- it was that of a pack. It was that of Rosings. It was Rosings.

they had done it! it was a land of foxes, but they would be routed soon enough. the girl lifted her lilting little voice and added it to the songs now pouring through their new land, a smile permanently curving her lips. this would be home, she hoped, at least for a little while.

Maja had felt a feeling that she hadn't felt in a long time, the feeling of family. She added to the song of belonging, the song of home. Her voice powerful and no longer doubtful, she sang on instinct. She cried without sadness and without tears.

Faramir raised his painted muzzle proudly to add his voice to the sweet melody drifting through the trees, feeling a rush of pride for a territory he could now call home. He was excited to lead and meet the others he now deemed as family, but for now he would sit content in claiming the land from the godawful annoying foxes.

She gaped at the territory, the beautiful dips and edges of it's land. It was a jungle, vast in it's expansion and thick with over growth. Trees overhead cast a shadow inward, but she was not scared. The canopy was their armour, and there was no need to hide from it. So, there were whispers and noises but, it was just an adventure awaiting. The choice had been easy, yet almost put on her to be a leader. A nagging feeling told her she had no choice in the matter, although the outcome was not a bad one. She, was not pressured into doing anything, not by force or intimidation. She chose what she did, it was her actions afterall. When it came to Aaron, she had no idea what to expect, keeping her light on her feet. It thrilled her, although there was that feeling of dominion she could not ignore. But all men were a bit possessive, as long as it didn't go too far.

She made quick time sniffing out everything that took her interest, raising her head often to check back at her subjects, as she waited for others to arrive. They all seemed to be in the same state of euphoria as she was, though there was no exact telling what they were thinking. She did not personally know many of them, making her determined to individually seek out each one, once they settled into their new home. She did not wander far, returning quite quickly to stand back at Aaron's side. She smiled at him, quite content with their new found home.

After joining in his howl, the pack joined him for a meeting. Amara took her rightful place at his side, and he smiled kindly to the lovely woman. Without much thought to it, he gave her an affectionate nudge to the cheek. It was no action of lust, simply a tender one that informed her of his intentions. She was his co-alpha, sure, but he'd be much happier with her as his mate.

He smiled to his pack kindly for a moment, his tail raised but still waving behind him in a slow wag. "Welcome," he woofed to them, silencing them with his tones. "To the Blackfoot Forest, our home," he bowed his head, waiting for any hoots and hollers to arise (or not) before continuing.

"We have only been here since this morning," he continued, pausing to study the young face of Claudia, and soon after her mentor. "But I have visited a handful of times. At night, you will hear eerie screams and calls, but I have reassurance to offer you all- do not be frightened by them," the man stood, waiting for any comments or murmurs if they came to die down. "You may have noticed a number of foxes on your own personal ventures through the territory. These creatures sing in the night, but mean you no harm. The noises you hear are only them, no ghost or ghoul haunts these woods."
