I need an anchor - Potema - May 27, 2016

Mother's pelvis was nestled perfectly in the "altar" made by the split rock. It was almost too perfect for her. The white witch backed away, looking at the temple now. The bone reflected the soft blue glow of the mushrooms, giving it a strangely haunted feeling. Potema felt her hackles rise once more at the connection. Magic seemed to pool out of the temple now; what was once a stream became a roaring river. Potema shuddered and felt a faint smile cross her lips. It was now worthy of its name, this Temple.

She looked at the jagged rocks strewn in the area around her, feeling a sense of disappointment. There were no plants for her to use as dye, else she may have marked the stones with binding and protection symbols, nor were animals readily avaliable for blood markings. She would have to make do with what she had.

She sat in front of the altar, breathing in the magic-tinged air softly. A prayer exited her lips quietly as she tried to connect to her god through the power of the temple.

Sithis mazemagon bisa dīnagon hae aōha morghūlilare dēmalion.
Sithis mīsagon bisa dīnagon hae aōha sombāzmion hen bantis.

RE: I need an anchor - Azul - May 27, 2016

Gonna be nosy for a while

Like the blue-eyed priestess she moved. She had been back for a while, but too silent for Azul's interests. The true princess of Blackfeather Woods had been under the warlock's watch for a while, that was until she left soon after the priestess' death. But she had potential, just like Kendra, and the old bat was curious.

He saw her that night on his way to the caves. Pale, like a ghost, she walked holding her mother's hip on her maw, marked with symbols unknown to him, symbols that he felt a sudden need to understand. So he followed the young priestess from above, all the way up to the temple her mother had once drawn her power from.

He watched in silence from a rock near the temple's core how the girl placed the bone among the stones. His heart stopped at the sight of it matching the altar's shape like a ring wraps around a finger, and then jumped back on to heavy bumps as he felt the flow of energy coming from the temple.

The girl prayed, and Azul listened to her words. Those words were the same he spoke when casting spells. He would have a lot to say if he ever had the chance to speak with her. He couldn't restrain this time, he couldn't be a coward like he was with Meldresi. There was way too much knowledge to obtain.

RE: I need an anchor - Kove - June 05, 2016

Since her return, he'd not sought the young priestess out, which came as a shock even to himself. She was a reminder of what once was, of the woman they'd lost, and if not for those reasons alone, then surely was he drawn to her by the knowledge she possessed. He was a priest, it was true, but never would he dare to declare himself a greater voice than Meldresi or Potema. From the former, he had wished to learn all the could be taught to him, but that interest had since been placed upon the latter. Yet, it'd taken him a great deal of time before he'd found himself desiring her presence, but the moment the feeling had hit him he'd started the search for her. For no longer could he linger in the shadows and act only when he was called upon, for now was the time in which it was demanded that he take a stand. To ensure that they remained within the Night Mother and Dread Father's favour, certain measures would need to be taken, but beforehand he'd known that knowledge was in need of being acquired.

The Inuit had trailed after the younger being's scent, leading him towards the Temple, where he'd then spotted the girl upon his arrival. From a distance, it seemed as if she was doing nothing more than sitting there, perhaps paying her respects or possibly just seeking comfort in her mother's memory. As he'd inched closer, however, the words that had started spilling from her mouth were heard, and immediately had he been lured in. It was with careful steps that Kove had made his way closer, stopping a short ways off behind Potema and sitting himself down, listening to her voice but deciding against using his own. If he was to be noticed and needed, he would move nearer to her, but for the time being he'd given her a comfortable amount of space and simply listened from there.

RE: I need an anchor - Potema - June 13, 2016

The words' magic sunk into the ground, embuing the Temple with the protective shroud of Sithis. Potema sighed, feeling exhaustion drag her body down. Her head throbbed with the exhertion of the spell, barely noticing Kove as he arrived. Her head lifted and she smiled faintly at the white Inuit. Hello, Kove... She huffed, slowly feeling her strength come back. Magic was not without its consequences, nor without its drawbacks. The hags and witches at the Fen would be strong enough to stay standing after the spell, but she was merely a young witch, inexperienced. She dragged herself to her feet and faced him. How are you?

RE: I need an anchor - Azul - June 16, 2016

Guys feel free to skip me!
Azul won't interrupt and it is unlikely Potema and Kove would spot him, unless you want them to >.>
He's just hanging there for now tho

Darkness seemed to fall upon the temple as the prayers to Sithis were versed. The tongue in which Potema chanted was as mysterious as it was beautiful. The Dark Tongue as Azul knew it, was the only tongue in which the superior and obscured entities seemed to take the mortals seriously, and Potema was using it beautifully. The old mage could sense the cold descending, and the shadows binding around the rock temple at the rhythm of the young witch's words.

The male's presence was ignored by Azul, who was lost on the sound of the Dark Tongue. But his pale figure was the first thing he saw when he re-opened his pitch-black eyes. And he stared, curious about his intentions, and fearful that Potema could get lost in her prayers if she was interrupted mid-way though her spell. He was ready to stop the male if he tried anything, but luckily Potema finished the spell, dragged down to the ground by exhaustion.

Potema was inexperienced, it seemed, but she successfully cast the veil of Sithis over the temple. She would be a wonderful witch some day.

RE: I need an anchor - Kove - July 29, 2016

As words were spoken in a tongue he could not understand, Kove had kept quiet and far enough away so as not to disturb her, but close enough to step in should his presence be needed. When the girl had concluded her activity and then slumped over, he'd been tempted to step forward and steady her, but had refrained from doing so until he'd been directly addressed. "Hello, Potema," he'd returned, a nod falling into place with his words. He was curious of what she'd been doing, but had yet to actually ask, feeling that the time to do so had yet to arrive. "I'm well. How about you?" It was then that he'd moved towards her, no more than a single step having been taken so as not to crowd her.

"Do you need any help?" was his next question, prompted by the observation of her exhaustion. Whatever she'd been doing had taken a clear toll on her body, and so he was willing to help in any way that he could so that her strength could be regained. Anything that he might be tasked with would be completed, and then he would assist her to a spot where she could rest. Kove would linger for a bit afterwards, and then leave her in order to return to his den.
