"FAWKS!" the child bellowed, her voice sprung forth from her throat in the manner of a sonic-boom. she had seen orange, a dart of fleet little limbs -- bright sunflower gold eyes framed in brilliant russet. the fox was even more red than she, and quicker too -- for no sooner had indra spied the thing it had slipped off into the thicket.
"come back!" she pleaded, cantering in a clumsy line after it. her voice rebounded in a small echo and she stopped, noticing the enormity of the forest and suddenly she felt very, very alone.
