Did you see that - Lagan - July 19, 2016

I believe the pups are in the socialization phase now, so Lagan will be venturing around then den a bit! Anyone allowed come meet the baby <3

Lagan awoke at his siblings side. His vision was clearer now, but his eyes still weren't the color they would be. Ears more perked than before, he could hear words now. What they meant was still a bit of a mystery, but he was trying. The youngest Blackthorn boy stood, skinny legs still a bit wobbly. A big toothless smile lit his face when he stood straight. He took a few wobbly leaps away from his sisters and mommy, and headed towards the opening of the den. Excitedly, he bounded towards a leaf that fell to the clearing around him. Dah! He squeaked, smacking his white paws on top of it.

This threw him off balance and he fell over, rolling joyfully around the entrance to the lush den. He looked up at canopy of leaves , the morning sun dappled a bright lime color on them. It was pretty. Tiarnach attempted to pull himself up, scrambling at the ground. When he finally made it, with a grunt of satisfaction, the baby boy chirped proudly. He took pride in his ability to sit up. It was impressive.

*steals* btw that avatar is sooo cute omg

He walked through a part of the forest he had not come before, taking his time as he did so. But, ultimately avoiding The Ferret. Peregrine was nice to him, but his son was terrifying. Any minute now, Stoic expected the other boy to burst from the bushes, and ram himself into Stoic's nimble body. So, Stoic ran to where he could not be found. This turned out not the be a good idea, for in no time he had no idea where he was. Yet, his underdeveloped senses did help him this time for another scent arose, his small nose twitching with excitement. He followed the smell, knowing it couldn't possibly be Ferret.

Once he did catch up with the source of the scent, his eyes surveyed, zeroing down on the sight of a wiggling little child, not much younger than he. More children? Good lord. But, this one didn't look like Peregrine or Fox, in fact, it looked like Eljay. Was this one Eljay's kid? Would the boy think Stoic was Peter too? His mind flooded with questions, though he did not open his mouth to ask.

Instead, he stepped near the child, but not too close, slightly terrified and slightly curious. "Who are you?" He inquired, not considering whether or not the small boy could talk. His eyes lowered, his shoulders scrunched to that he may meet eye to eye with the boy. Maybe this one would prove to be less weird than Peregrine's family.

RE: Did you see that - Lagan - July 20, 2016

Aww thanks! Laur made it for me <3

Lagan leaped up when he heard the voice, scrabbling around then falling back down. This second time he managed to stand successfully, and looked at this new boy curiously. Who was this? Some intruder? Had this tiny wolf come to eat little Tiarnach and his siblings? Nope, he decided quickly. This wolf was shaped more like a friend than an enemy. The toothless boy smiled widely as friend spoke. He could hear the words, but comprehending them was harder. Mmmm Dah? He asked, his voice was awkwardly deeper than most. Deep but soft with the puppy trill to it.

Lagan bounded towards the other after he gave the respective two seconds for the other pup to answer. Giving his biggest smile, he smacked the ground happily with his comically large white feet. This guy was shaped like a fun friend, so surely he would play with Lagan.

RE: Did you see that - Jackrabbit - July 20, 2016

It was clear the boy before him was working on half a brain, for it could not even form a proper word. Stoic was competely oblivious to the fact that the boy was not even a boy, but a baby. If told this, he would have dismissed the fact for when he was a baby, he was already forming intricate sentances.. or so he believed. Walking closer, Stoic was bent on teaching the smaller child how to speak. It couldn't always remain stupid.

"The name is Jack, Jackrabbit," He wore his new name with pride, well, after he had repeated it a few times just to get the hang of it. "What's yours?" He questioned the other, his eyes peering downwards. But it seemed the boy had no intention of talking as he bounded up and down. Even still, Stoic did not make a move. He would have happily played, but he did not know how. He had always just.. tackled his younder siblings without much care but he couldn't really do that to the littler guy. Could he?

RE: Did you see that - Lagan - July 21, 2016

This bigger guy kept talking. Did he not understand that Lagan didn't talk? Stumped and confused when this Jack guy didn't respond to his play bow, Lagan thumped back on his butt, staring blankly at the other. When Jackrabbit finished making words, Lagan decided he would try some. Dapa? He said happily, that was probably good enough. And since this Jack guy could understand words, Lagan assumed he would totally understand whatever Lagan had just said. Now that that was over, the little silver boy launched himself at Jack, though he couldn't jump very high so he leaped at his chest and began pulling playfully at the other's chest fur.

RE: Did you see that - Jackrabbit - July 27, 2016

Jack's face was one turned from curiosity, to extreme confusion, to over-all annoyance. The smaller boy did not even answer his question, yet Jack offered a simple, "Huh?" before feeling the impact of another body against his. Unprepared and bewildered, he stumbled back in his own mere haste to get away from the boys attempts at biting his chest. This doge seemed ineffective as he tripped over his own flailing legs, and onto his back.

It took him a second of utter shock to collect his thoughts, his eyes widened, frozen in place as he did not know how to react. Had this been his sister's doing, he would have easily knocked her over too, but this was not his sister. He did not even know this strange, smaller being that proved to be absolutely stupid and incapable of speech. Though, he came to the conclustion he could not stay lying down, and he pulled himself upwards, landing on his rump just to face the boy. His eyes had narrowed considerably, for the other had proved to be a worthy opponent and should be treated as such.

He got up, swiftly dipping his head underneath the boys front so that he may push him over, by the strength of his head. There was no saying this would work but he willed it to do so, in which he would (hopefully) regain his pride. Jack now paid little attention to the size difference, deeming the other fully capable of play fight.

RE: Did you see that - Lagan - July 28, 2016

Lagan giggled happily when Jack flipped over. He was proud of his accomplishments, the other was bigger than him. Lagan continued to smile joyfully, a hiccup escaping through his stifled giggles when Jack sat up straight. The other looked frustrated, eyebrows narrowed. Little Tiarnach dropped his smile, and stared at the other mouth agape. Was this not fun for him too? Suddenly feeling a bit worried, he took a step away. However he found himself being thrown over onto his back.

He let out a high pitched squeak, wriggling around on his back until he could finally rise. He yelped for @Elwood or @Finley, feeling frightened suddenly. He scampered into a bush, hiding as best he could, though Jack surely knew where he was. He watched the other, wondering if he would be attacked again. Little did Lagan know that was just how older pups played.

RE: Did you see that - Jackrabbit - July 28, 2016

It seemed his pride would come to a close as in a mere second, the other boy was on his back and screaming. Fright came over him, frozen in his place as his ears fell back against his head, terrified for the consequences of what he had done. He hadn't pushed him that hard, right? His eyes had noticeably widened, watching as the other boy cowered behind a bush. Thoughts raced through his mind, and my the millisecond he himself because overwhelmed by the weight of what he had done. Perry would kick him out, he was sure of it. He would have to go back being Stoic and get taken away by the Silvertip wolves and eaten. He did not notice the panicked breaths that came out of him one after the other, not until he found himself hyperventilating to the point he could not breath right anymore.

Doing what any other boy would do in his situation, he ran. He did not even glance at the smaller boy as his nimble legs carried him as fast as he could away from the scene, though he quivered in fright as he did so.  He hadn't meant to hurt him.. it wasn't really his fault. Yet, he could not bring himself to believe it; he had done it on purpose. But he didn't-- he was going to be in so much trouble. Peregrine had said so, afterall. The other boy would get him in trouble, he was sure of it. Jack had never faced such a situation before, never having to take accountability for his actions. So instead, he ran. He ran until he did not know where he was anymore.

RE: Did you see that - Lagan - July 29, 2016

Lagan watched as the other stood inside the clearing. He waited, still scared the angry Jack might come after him again, but suddenly the other was gone. Lagan didn't know what he'd done. However mommy and papa had missed Jack anyway, so the older boy wouldn't get in trouble today. Lagan would forget soon, about the whole incident, however if he saw Jack again the other would be recognized. The youngest Blackthorn boy stepped from the long grass, short stubby tail tucked behind him and stared in the spot where Jack had gone. The other wasn't coming back, and now Lagan was all alone. A small rumble of sadness and confusion left his throat, as he scampered back into the Blackthorn den to rest with his family.

I'll archive it <3
