forget but not forgiven - Amara - September 05, 2016

sticking this here!
stark had been kind enough, though she would never understand how generous he was; amara was a stranger. a pregnant stranger. she had no place among them, but she would birth the children of a monster among them. they did not deserve such a thing, yet neither did she. she, after all, had no intention of being any sort of a mother especially to his offspring. bastard children, mistakes. beings that were never meant to be. perhaps, she would not even be around to call them her's. that, was entirely a possibility.

yet, she could feel the time coming. her stomach had swollen, incredibly so she felt the weight bear down on her nimble limbs. soon, she thought. soon. yet, finding a birthing den was much more difficult in the territory of marauders keep. blackfoot had an abundance of abandoned fox dens, less so in the new woods she roamed. and still, she could not travel far without stopping to catch her breath. the search proved little to her, and after long she found herself simply sitting upon the ground without much care to who exactly found her.

RE: forget but not forgiven - Stark - September 05, 2016

He couldn't turn her away. Call it a bleeding heart - she made him think instantly of Octavia and the any chance there was of sending the woman on her way had been gone in an instant. When Stark had accepted her he had explained the brief details. The Crook was home, and among its depths she would find perhaps the safest place to give birth. Stark himself had gone to catch her something to eat and when he returned with a fat hare swinging from his jaws he found Amara just resting out in the open. He laid the hare at her feet, stepping back a couple paces. "If the Crook is too... Busy, for you right now, there is an old herb cache you could use."

It had been mostly abandoned by the cowardly pair who used to stock it, and anything that they might have left would probably not be of any use. It was still a bitter disappointment but he could not waste any time on them. "Anything I can do for help, don't hesitate to tell me, Amara." Stark was well practiced in tending to mothers and their young, after all.
