To Those Who are Welcome - Shalon - October 09, 2016

Paging @Sylvas Streiter, @Eden, @Alyssum... Although all are welcome, just trying to meet some new peoples :)

Shalon was on her morning patrol, she had increased her daily partol from one to two total in a day. With so many pups on the way, they couldn't become lax in their attention to safety. She had found the scent of others within the territory however, she also knew that Alder had recently accepted a few more member into their pack. She would need to reach out to meet them sooner or later, perhaps after her patrol she would seek them out, but she also wanted to check on Aspen and Heartha as well. Especially Heartha, she might need a hand with her new den within the tunnels. Shalon was getting nervous for the approaching births. Two was enough she thought, preferably only one would have been fine, but she could accept two. Shalon had no idea that among the newcommer's there was a pregnant female as well.

She took a quick pace around the borders, there was much to do today, she also wanted to see if any of the newcommer could fight. They would need all the help they could get to protect the new pups on the way. With so much to do, it would be luck if she could bump into her new packmates while on patrol.

RE: To Those Who are Welcome - RIP Eden - October 09, 2016

Eden had been enjoying the warmth of the sun - something that'd been less common with the new season - when she picked up the scent of another wolf. It was obvious that the other was a member of her pack, so she felt safe enough to seek them out, chuffing her presence as she approached. Her counterpart was much smaller than Eden, though they shared the same shades.
I'm Eden, she said, once she was confident enough that she was close enough to be heard, one of the new recruits. My sister and my mate, we all came together. She allowed a smile as she spoke, though she quickly had to sit down from the heavy spell of dizziness that'd quickly set in. That was becoming an almost everyday experience, so she thought nothing of it, but it still put a hindrance on her social skills.

RE: To Those Who are Welcome - Alyssum - October 09, 2016

Though there had been a bit more distance between the sisters since they'd joined, Ally was still quick to Eden's hip, watching her movements. She'd been following as Eden approached the other wolf and listened to her introduce herself. She waited for Eden to finish speaking before whispering her introduction as well. I'm Alyssum. Pleased to meet you. She watched her sister lie down and quickly rushed to her side, sniffing her out for any possible ailments.
Though she didn't say anything, it had become obvious to Alyssum what was wrong with her sister. Out of respect, however, she refused to speak on the subject until it was brought up to her first. Not only could Eden be suffering from such an ailment, but two others in the new pack were as well. Alyssum was giddy with the thought of having three new sets of wolves to take care of and teach, but she didn't get ahead of herself. Disappointment was one of her strong suits.

RE: To Those Who are Welcome - Sylvas Streiter - October 09, 2016

hides terrible reply x3
Sylvas hadn't been too far from Eden as she bathed in the sunlight, the male having remained to one side as he found himself getting used to all these new changes in his life. Amber eyes observing his new home and their surroundings, though his stare always returned to Eden's form. The brown and grey male sat quietly taking everything in as he thought about what the future had in store for him, mind trailing off as he thought about how he was going to prove his worth to his new pack mates, as well as Eden and his future pups. He'd allowed his mind to race on for some time, becoming oblivious that Eden had even ventured off. As Sylvas turned to look back at Eden, his amber eyes widened slightly as he looked around for her, the brute standing to all fours as he sniffed out her scent and instantly began to follow.

It wasn't long till two familiar forms came into view, though the third; Streiter didn't recognise. The brute knew wherever Eden went, Alyssum wasn't far behind, reassuring him that Eden was never alone. As he approached, Sylvas gave his head a respectful nod toward his new pack mate, offering them a smile as he listened to Alyssum's quiet introduction as he placed himself on the opposite side of Eden, to Alyssum.

Peering to the others, Sylvas cleared his throat and dipped his head once more to his suprerior, ”I'm Sylvas, or Streiter. Which ever you'd prefer as I answer to both.” Again he offered a friendly smile, meetings such as these a rarity for the previously lone wolf.

RE: To Those Who are Welcome - Shalon - October 09, 2016

Shalon was surprised to say the least, and was in the process of thanking the stars for her good fortune. Although she didn't let any of that show, rather she paused her patrol for the time being and was welcomed by the three wolves she wanted to see most at this moment. They were obviously a close nit group, and Shalon took them all in. She nodded to each as they introduced themselves, she could find Alder's scent on all of them so she knew Eden spoke truth. "Eden." She looked the woman over, before looking to what Shalon could only assume was her sister. "Alyssum." Her pale fur made her yea another wintery styled female to the court, Shalon shifted her silver eyes to the male of the group. "Streiter," A good addition to the female heavy pack.

"It is nice to meet you all." She sat back on her hindlegs, making herself comfortable, "I am Shalon Sentiel, Duchess of the Court." She wasn't much for the titles of the court, and so would probably never mention it again unless absolutely necessary. "You may call me Shalon." She smiled slightly, happy to see the Court growing. "Welcome to the Royal Fire Court, I hope you are all settling in." It was a statement that left room for a question, she hoped they might confirm that they were indeed settling in.

RE: To Those Who are Welcome - RIP Eden - October 09, 2016

So far, things had been going smoothly - outside from the nagging of her health. Eden had found a place to dig out her den, and the wolves she'd met seemed nothing but kind and welcoming to her family. I think things are going well, to say the least. She smiled over her shoulder at Sylvas and nudged at his cheek, before looking down to Ally and pawing at her gently.
I appreciate the welcoming of the pack. Its something I haven't seen a lot of recently. She laughed quietly as she thought back to her battle with Steady. Things suddenly seemed to look a lot brighter.

RE: To Those Who are Welcome - Sylvas Streiter - October 11, 2016

Assume I can skip Alyssum? ><

Sylvas gave his head a respectful dip as the female introduced herself as Shalon; Duchess of the Royal Fire Court, their new home. Straightening himself, though keeping his head lower then his superior, amber eyes watched as she gradually seated herself, the brute too thinking it wise to make himself comfortable for this meeting. Ears arched atop his head as she spoke once more, welcoming them. Streiter allowed a smile to form across his features, tail curling about his front paws and he once more dipped his head, ”Thank you, Shalon.” His smile still present across his muzzle. It was a nice change, to be surrounded by family instead of ones self and thoughts.

At the sound of his mate's voice, his head instantly turned in Eden's direction. A smile was offered to her as she nudged his cheek, amber eyes gleaming in the dense light that shone down upon the group. Streiter had to agree with Eden, it was indeed nice to see such a close-knit group and to now be part of a family. Tail twitching at his side as cleared his throat, voice spilling out into the air, ”It's been a while since I was part of a family.” He peered to them all and continued, ”It's a nice feeling. For once I actually feel as if I have a sense of purpose.” Though now the only thing left was for him to prove himself.

RE: To Those Who are Welcome - Shalon - October 11, 2016

Shalon only nodded her head as Eden spoke, quickly followed by her mate. Alyssum seemed to be distracted, something which didn't imprint itself fondly on Shalon's memory. As Streiter spoke however she forgot about the wayward girl. She smiled, at his words.

"I'm glad to hear it Eden, don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it. That goes for both of you." Shalon looked between the two, "The King and Queen value family very highly. It would probably be good to remember that." They had trust to earn from her, however they were indeed taking the right steps to gaining a hold in the pack. "It was the same for me when I entered the Glade, the King gave me a chance. And now he has given you both the same chance." Shalon let the soak in for a moment, her silver eyes boring into them.  "But.....I have faith in you both." She smiled slightly.

She let the sun soak over them for a moment, enjoying the silence, "I am sure you have already told everyone worth telling of your skills, however I appear to be slightly out of the loop. I pride myself on knowing the skills of everyone in the pack, have you thought of any trades or specialties?"

RE: To Those Who are Welcome - RIP Eden - October 22, 2016

Short post!
A caregiver, actually, Eden said, I'm considering midwifery, maybe being a sitter. I haven't quite made up my mind yet. Eden was glad to be a part of a family, but it was nerve-racking. And you? What's your trade?

RE: To Those Who are Welcome - Sylvas Streiter - October 23, 2016

He listened quietly as the Duchess spoke, giving his head a thankful nod as Shalon mentioned about them ever needing help, to not hesitate in asking. Streiter appreciated this offer, especially if it aided him to become a more skilled and mostly permanent member of the family. His brown ears remained arched a top his head as he listened to Shalon as she spoke about the King and Queen, telling them how highly they valued family. This was understandable to the male, for family usually to most was everything.

Amber eyes trailed over the Eden's form, ears still listening as Shalon told them about her first time in the Glade, his stare trailing back to her as she continued to explain how it had been the same for her. Only this time, it was their chance. And Streiter couldn't allow himself to let them down. A slight smile made its way across his muzzle as the Duchess said she had faith in them. This slighted lifted his spirits some as the growing pressure began to slowly brew within the young male.

He tilted his head some as Shalon finally asked what their specialities were, or what trade they were thinking of taking. Instantly his ears perked at the sound of Eden's voice as she mentioned her trade, though she was undecided. Streiter on the other hand, wasn't quite sure. Hunter? He wasn't all bad at catching things. Guardian? He had escorted a young pup home once. Peering to the ground for a moment, black lips parted and the brown male replied, ”I can sharpen my skills in hunting, since we have many mouths to feed. Also, I've got some skill in the protecting/guardian side of things.” He offered a small smile, ”I escorted a young pup back to her home, to Larksong Grotto” His tail twitching some at his paws as he then went silent.

RE: To Those Who are Welcome - Shalon - October 23, 2016

Shalon nodded curtly, glad that they had an idea of what they wanted to do, or what their skills were. "Good, good." She smiled slightly, filing the infomation away in her brain. "With two litters on the way we will definitely need sitters or midwives to help the mothers." She smiled at Eden, Shalon could see that she was keen and perhaps she could really make something of herself here in the court. Which made Shalon excited, she loved to see others florish in the pack. "Hunters are in short supply, as are guardians." She thought for moment, it had been a long time since she had seen Nico. She found his scent every once and awhile, however he was becoming less and less active within their community. Shalon knew he was leaving evenually, and it was only a matter of time before they were down a fighter. "Guardians are definitley needed."

"I am a mercenary, at the moment. Working toward warrior and guardian specialties. I am very close to my counselor trade as well." She mentioned, supposing that it might be benifical for them to know her skills incase they found themselves in a pickle. "Well is there anything you have questions about? The King has been very busy with two litters on the way, if you have any questions feel free to ask me."

RE: To Those Who are Welcome - RIP Eden - November 04, 2016

Thankfully, Shalon had properly answered all of the questions Eden could've had. Thank you, and I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Eden nodded in respect but waited for her mate's signal to go. They were a unit now and she wouldn't leave until he was ready.

RE: To Those Who are Welcome - Sylvas Streiter - November 05, 2016

The young male listened carefully as their superior went on to inform them of the specialities most needed, ears pivoting atop his head as he silently took note. Streiter knew deep down that he was interested in the Guardian trade, since helping Indra that day and with the knowledge of his own pups on the way, he figured it to be a beneficial skill to have; though not just for him but for the pack too. He nodded his head, lips parting as he replied smoothly, ”Then my mind is set.” He offered Shalon a smile, tail giving a small wag behind him as he peered over to Eden with the same smile. Life was changing.

When Shalon's words came to an end, Streiter glanced over to his mate and then gradually back to the Duchess, his head slowly gave a shake, ”I've no more questions.” He smiled once more before adding, ”If I find myself in some form of a rut, I'll be sure to seek you out for guidance.” A singular ear twitched as he gave a polite dip of his head, offering the Duchess a bow of sorts as he spoke softly, ”Thank you once more.”

RE: To Those Who are Welcome - Shalon - December 07, 2016

Wrap up?

Shalon nodded to all three of them. "Alright." She looked each of them over once more glad to see the numbers of the court growing. "I had best be off, much to do today. Once you are all settled in we can speak of your trades and such. But first find yourselves a den, a place to call home. Then perhaps I'll call on each of you." With that she stood and turned slightly, headed for the main tunneled den of the Court. She had business with the royal pair to attend to and she couldn't afford to sit here all day with the new recruits. Even if she wanted to. With one last quick smile she headed to the main den. Ears perked if anyone should call her out as she left.
