through the looking glass - Tulip - November 03, 2016

she could see little, yet, felt so much. in the days that passed since her birth, the air had turned colder; the infant could tell. what this meant, she was not exactly sure nor could be bothered to remember to find out. infact, there was little she could do by herself, if at all. yet, she had grown the ability to feel for something other than herself; her brother. while little was indicated to exactly what this being that lay beside her truly was; it's name, it's personality, it's wants and wishes; she felt an overwhelming sense of comfort when with it. the girl could not be bothered to be without her brother. where it crawled, the girl was sure to follow to the best of her ability, even when her stamina wore out and she found it hard to get the air into her lungs. where it slept, the girl was sure to lay with it, sharing it's warmth as if it was her own. tulip was entirely selfless, something filled with such grace yet devastating for her own well-being. had she not had a mother to care for her every movement; the girl would cease to live for herself, but for simply, anyone else.

I totally forgot, sorry!

Heartha opened her own eyes to check on her pups, nosing each of them. She knew they couldn't hear just as well as she hoped, but she still talked. "How are my little ones?" she cooed, nosing each of the two pups. Sometimes she still thought about the third, but she couldn't let those thoughts bring her down. Little did she know, her daughter was opening her eyes.

she gravited to the warmth; the hollow feeling of the cold set upon her bones an ache. so when her brother decided to shuffle away, his absence was felt almost immediately. mother was her's to cuddle now, and as she moved her paws to the best of her ability, her eyesight seemed to gain a clarity she had never felt before. everything was better upclose, the young girl swiftly decided. "ma!" she sqeaked as her forehead came into contact with the larger presence, tiny tail wiggling gleefully at the mere touch of her birthgiver.

Heartha watched one of her pups, Tulip, moved closer as @Bramble shuffled away. Heartha tried to move her daughter closer, thinking the pup wanted some warmth. But to her surprise, she heard a squeak from the pup. Looking down, she gasped in surprise. Tulip was opening her eyes! She was so excited, she forgot to call anyone. She felt the pups forehead make contact, and smiled gently.
