What to do. What to learn - Seri - December 31, 2017

In the time that Seri had been there she thought she had done a pretty good job. She had meet afew of the members of the pack individually and had begun friendships with some of them. A few had even opened up to her about their feelings and even though she didn't know them too much about them she offered what advise she could and things seemed to be going well. Still pretty young she wouldn't consider herself to be wise. But sometimes not knowing back story was better for advise giving. Without a back story she couldn't have that much bias and think of both parties as either being in the right or wrong without influence.

She wasn't sure where she stood in the pack yet, but she knew that she would need a trade before being considered a true member of this pack. She had hunting experience and enjoyed exploring, but ever since comming here she was really interested in the packs history. Mostly because she didn't know all of it yet. But she also liked to think about how she helped Blixen with her Furi problem. The two seemed to be doing alot better now. She wasn't sure if it was really her doing but she liked to think that it was.

As she thought about these things she overlooked the cliffs to the water below.

RE: What to do. What to learn - Prince - January 14, 2018

Prince had taken to roaming along the borders and the cliffs overlooking the beach and water below-- it was a comforting solitude, though he did secretly long for more friends within Drageda. It didn't seem likely that he would make many with so much of the pack gone, though, so he kept to himself for now. In a way, he relished the time to brood alone without fear of judgment.
He wasn't disappointed when he came upon another who smelled of his own near the cliffs, though. The boy approached slowly, chuffing at a distance so that he wouldn't startle her. The last thing he wanted was to scare a packmate off the side of a cliff.

RE: What to do. What to learn - Seri - January 21, 2018

She heard a chuff and turned her head to see a light colored male, smelling of the pack. He looked older than her, but not by that much. Looking him over she could see small bits of light brown or tan peaking through.

She let her tail wag swiftly and greeted him saying. "Hi. My name is Seri. I don't think we have meet, I'm still pretty new."

RE: What to do. What to learn - Prince - February 12, 2018

Prince nodded to her and swished his own tail back and forth a bit, pleased that she was friendly.
I'm Prince. I've only recently arrived from Sangeda. He explained, not sure if she'd know yet what that is (new, to him, meant a former outsider) but not bothering to explain unless she asked. The boy shifted a bit awkwardly, then. What else was he supposed to say?
Do you like it here? Prince wondered aloud after a few beats-- anything else he could have said was lost on him at that moment.

RE: What to do. What to learn - Seri - February 12, 2018

Prince might have been at a loss for words, but seeing someone from the pack that was also somewhat new and friendly got Seri excited. She knew to contain herself more then when she was younger, but she had plently of things to ask and talk about in her mind.

"Sangeda... That sounds similar to Drageda. Is that one of the... three other packs?" she asking trying to remember what she had been breifly told in the past, about his pack having sister packs or something similar to that.

She took a moment to consolidate her answer to his question, there were so many factors that would play into the answer. "Yeah. I've bounced around alot and I think this is one of my favorite spots." she commented. From birth Seri had been in 4 packs including Drageda. It wasn't her intention to move for a majority of the packs, fate seemed to keep her moving. But here she felt that she could stay put and not have to worry about people leaving.

RE: What to do. What to learn - Prince - March 12, 2018

so sorry for the wait
possibly turn this into a trade thread?
The boy was content to oblige Seri's questions. He gestured for her to follow him, moving back towards the border to mark along it. Assuming she followed him, he'd keep going as he spoke-- though he wouldn't leave her behind if she didn't.
Yes. Heda's rule extends to Sangeda, Trigeda, and Maungeda outside of these lands. I was born in Trigeda. He shot her a glance as he explained, wondering just how interested she was.
That's good. Prince added after a couple beats, finding he meant it. You'll see Drageda as your family, in time. That's what we are.

RE: What to do. What to learn - Seri - March 30, 2018

She followed along eager to hear what he had to say and get to know him better. He seemed to be well informed and knowledgeable about the pack. He was also someone close to her age, so she hoped she could find something in common with him. Being in a new place she wasn't quite sure where she stood, or what was expected of her. He spoke about being born in one of the sister pack, which explained his knowledge. "Really?" she asked with interest about his birth pack. "What made you move here?" she wondered if there was some type of tradition between the packs that had caused him to move or something.

When he spoke about this being her new home she nodded. "I hope so." she said earnestly. "I'd like to be more informed about the pack's history and what it means to be a member. Currently I'm sorta in the dark." she said somewhat shyly.

Of course the girl would ask difficult questions. Prince paused a couple beats before he marked the border again, feeling tension rise in his body. Still, he owed her an answer.
"My parents," He explained, voice tight. "When Heda came here, they wanted to follow; especially my mother."
The boy grasped at Seri's next words quickly, eager for the change of subject. He only allowed himself a moment to contemplate his answer. How do you explain the only home you've ever known? Of course Prince had nothing to compare it to; he had never left, never had to suffer the harsh unwelcome of a community entirely new to him. Even his rough transition to Drageda was surely better than any outside alternative.
"It's not a soft life, or easy," He commented first, but his tone was forgiving of the fact. "But it is good."
Prince was no storyteller, and he could not give her the packs' history, but he offered what little he could. In his mind, perhaps the most important information. "You must know we advance in rank through skill-- but do you know of how our Heda is chosen?"

RE: What to do. What to learn - Seri - April 24, 2018

Sorry to have made you wait through this thread. I'm thinking of having Seri go PPC soon. Sry to cut this short.

So his parents had brought him here. She wondered who they were in the pack and why he didn't simplye use their names, at least when he was talking about them to others. Calling your parents by there name could be seen as rude to some.

He didn't try to down play the mood of the pack and confessed it it not being easy, but that it was good in the end. Seri was still unsure about it. He offered to tell her about how the Heda was chosen but it would have to wait for another time. "I don't, though I would like to know... another time. I just remembered that I have something to do. I hope to see you again." she said with a hesitant smile. It was a bit embarrasing to start a conversation just to have to leave it suddenly. She hoped he wouldn't take it too harshly as she did enjoy speaking with him.
