I need vitamin SEA - Aviana - April 15, 2018

Please allow @Aliac to reply first. They are looking for @Stockholm and/or @Coelacanth, but AW, too. Set for the morning of 4/16

The Morningside pair traveled quickly to the coastline, Aviana excited to to meet the ocean. She hadn't ever before, and it was a sight to behold when they finally reached it. She stood there for several long minutes, breathing in the salty air, and listening to the waves crash on the beach. A crab caught her attention as it scurried across the beach and then found a hole to crawl into. Then, she looked at the island they were supposed to visit. There was a sand bridge to cross, thankfully, but it looked a bit awkward to approach the pack. Still, a border was a border, she supposed.

With a smile to Aliac, she began to cross. The wind carried the scent of the pack, and she stopped several yards away from the pack's boundary line. The tipped her head back and howled for the pair they had come to deliver Catori's message to. She hoped they were friendly enough. Just in case, Aviana's folded her ears on her head as she lowered it, and made sure her tail was down along her back legs. She didn't want anyone to think she was anything but submissive.

Aliac looked over to her packmate as she let out her call. As she saw her position change, she decided that it would be best for her to do the same. She had never actually travelled to a new pack before so this experience was extremely new to her. But regardless, she planned to show respect towards these wolves and make a good impression.

Aviana waited a while, long enough that she got tired of standing and sat back on her haunches. She looked to Aliac with a little confusion. Should we continue to wait? she asked her traveling companion. She didn't feel comfortable hanging out on someone else's borders, especially when she didn't personally know anyone here. She did understand they were allies, and hoped that meant they would be welcomed. But, she still didn't understand why so far their call had remained unanswered.

RE: I need vitamin SEA - Komodo - April 26, 2018

These were lazy days for Komodo. He hunted the small, island fare and he studied his scriptures, and he chatted with his packmates here and there. He was alone for most of the time, and not entirely upset about it — he was able to go about his days as he wished, and fill his hours with the activities of his choosing,  to eat when he wants and snooze when he wants. He was doing just this — catching and devouring a wayward seagull, and then falling promptly asleep — when the call from the borders was loosed, but he did not rouse. Surely, someone else would take care of this.

But, he reminded himself, he was a man with responsibilities. He was Vedmak now, and this was his job. So, he got up and hauled his ass to the beach where the sandbar was affixed. The angakkuq trotted towards the visiting duo, calling out with his tenor far before he reached them. “Aye, forgive m’delay,” he said, apologizing but not offering an explanation. He sped up to a trot, rounding them and turning towards the sea, coming to face the scouting femmes.  “Ah'm Komodo, of Undersea. he said with a respectful sweep of the head. “An’ yew two are… Lost?” he probed and cocked a coffee cream brow, eyes lighted with the joke. It was not likely that they had crossed the channel, or crossed the sandbar, without completely intending to do just that. Wolves did not often come to their small island dwelling by happenstance.  It was not impossible; just not likely — after all, almost all the wolves had been lost souls, brought together by some larger force, the likes of which did not answer to them. That, however, didn't seem to happen much anymore.

Permission to PP Aliac

As if he was conjured from their thoughts, Aviana spotted the male trotting towards him. Her tail tucked and her ears folded on her lowered head in full respect of him. Her gaze shifted to his chest and away from his face, knowing it would be wrong to meet his eyes.

She shook her head side to side, offering him a smile. Oh, no, we're not lost, she confirmed. Catori, from Morningside sent us, she explained. My name is Aviana, and this, she motioned with her muzzle, is Aliac. Catori wanted us to let you and Coel know that you are invited to see her pups, the newest additions of Morningside, at your earliest convenience. The message was sweet and simple, and Aviana grew quiet to see if the male would have a message for Aviana and Aliac to send back.

Her travel partner seemed to be addressing the situation quite well, therefore, she decided to nod slightly giving a gentle bow of her head. "How do you do?" She said simply as she did so. Waiting for the male to respond.

RE: I need vitamin SEA - Komodo - May 25, 2018

The two traveling ladies were prompt and concise, two qualities that Komodo could appreciate in a scout and a diplomat. He nodded as they shared their news with him and was pleased to learn that the woman who had traveled to visit them in the not-so-distant past was good — and so were her pups. “Ah see,” he burled proudly, though he didn’t really have any right to be. “We uh-ppreciate yuh travelin’ all this way so that we kin share in yer goo’ fortune,” it was nice, this whole “having alliances” thing. The cortes were a big family — a friendly family — and their influence was beginning to run wide.

“Ah ‘spose that e’ryone’s good and healthy? We gat quite a few healers we kin send back with yuh,” Although, one of his healers wasn't on the island at the time, and it was his fault. Either way, Komodo wondered how the travel that Cartori had taken affected her unborn/now born cubs. He, as a trained medicine man, would have recommended rest and repose for the entire duration of her pregnancy… but, what did he really know about the inner workings of women? The ability to create life and their distinct vicissitudes and sheer depth of emotion, he believed, was akin to magic.
