bloo - RIP Issun - May 03, 2018

for anyone who hasn’t met him yet :P

the sun had began to set on the valley when issun started to stir. he set out with intentions to fill the cache for the night. he proceeded with his nose to the ground in a sluggish manner, sniffing out anything worthwhile.

it wasn’t long before he detected a rodent. careful not to make commotion, he followed the alluriing smell, which led him to a squirrel. it wasn’t the best thing in the world, but at least it was something. it stood close to a tree, so he’d have to be quick on his feet if his hunt were to be successful.

he hovered over the earth and slowly stalked towards the creature. issun made sure to get as close as he possibly could before pounding towards it with open jaws. sadly, his trajectory had been off and he missed the target. “shit,” he hissed as he watched the rodent scamper up the tree. no matter, the night was still young, he’d just have to try his luck elsewhere.

RE: bloo - Nunataq - May 05, 2018

At the ripe age of one month Nunataq had mastered the art of walking around steadily and commanding her feet to take her, where she wanted and not where they thought they should go. She had begun to have slow-motion play-fights with her siblings and had an inkling to bite and clung to them more often than the rest. Her vision had slightly improved and therefore the blurred edges of the outside world had retreated a notch, giving her a better view of the whole image. And - of course - when one is that grown-up you can't expect them to keep crashing in the parent's basement, can you? They, of course, had different ideas about the matter, but that did not deter her to sneak to the den-mouth as often as possible. At all times of the day and - incidentally - night too.

Therefore, when a packmate of whom she was not aware of yet, but who was in the vicinity, scared a squirrel up the tree and swore, little Nuna, excited to hear a voice, replied with a new sound of hers. Now her vocabulary had expanded from a variety of "hrmph"s and "eeee"s to a melodic, howl-like: "Choo-choo-choo!" Her voice was small and would not travel distances, but, perhaps, she would be heard.

a voice led him to jolt upwards and spin around. not far behind him was a pup. he wasn’t expecting to see any children here, so he was surprised to see her. issun smiled and walked towards her. her markings resembled annasiak’s, so he assumed it was hers.

hey!” he chirped, “what’re you doing all the way out here? going on an adventure or something?” he glanced around if a sibling or parent was present, but there was no one he could see.

uh, you didn’t here me curse did ya?” he chuckled, “if you did, well, you didn’t hear it from me.

RE: bloo - Nunataq - May 06, 2018

The dark wolf was unaware that Nunataq hadn't gone anywhere far at all - she was sitting right by the entrance of the carefully concealed den. It was he, who had gone a far way. But to say all this or even understand, what the stranger had told her, she lacked the mental capacity.

Therefore, when he emerged from the darkness (or - frankly speaking - he was so dark that he could be embodiement of darkness himself), Nunchack jumped a little from the surprise and then got to her feet and with a happily wiggling bum went to greet the man.

Fifteen seconds later she had decided that she had grasped enough information about the set of large paws before her, she opened her mouth, which was half-equiped with little, white razors and gave the nearest phalanx to her a hefty bite (as hefty as a one-month old can give).

RE: bloo - RIP Issun - May 19, 2018

it took him some another search of the surroundings to realize that the whelp hadn’t actually wandered to far from her den. that’s a relief, he thought to himself.

the happiness the pup displayed was contagious and prompted his own tail to rapidly sway back and forth. it had been a long time since he’d seen someone so carefree.

issun chucked when she set her tiny teeth on his paw. it stung a bit, but didn’t cause overwhelming pain, well, obviously. he leaned down with a slightly parted maw and softly prodded at the pup’s side with his nose in retaliation.

RE: bloo - Nunataq - May 25, 2018

Nuna had been very intent on getting hold of the foot and not letting it go. Ever. But her set of jaws were too weak to grant the favored outcome, therefore the wolf in question freed his paw with ease. What was more, he fought back, by nudging her in the side, thus destroying the fragile balance and toppling the little kid over.

"Hrumph," she said, while lying on her back and wriggling her feet like a beetle stuck on it's back. Eventually she shifted the balance the right way and got back on her feet again. After giving her coat a heft shake, she charged at her opponent with excitedly wagging tail and puppy growls (intended to be scary, but sounding simply cute).

RE: bloo - RIP Issun - May 27, 2018

the push caused the girl to release her grasp on his paw and roll onto her back. her flailing legs caused him to giggle a bit. issun pranced around before bowing into a playful crouch.

he didn’t move when the pup came bounding towards him but instead allowed her access to his face. he snapped at the air and let out exuberant barks and growls every so often.

RE: bloo - Nunataq - June 03, 2018

Up until the moment, when Nuna's playmate began to bark, she had hardly paid any attention to the sounds adults used to emit. Now - when she had entered the "age of a little sponge", during which she soaked up all information around her, she stopped and with her head tilted to the side, listened.

And after enough repetitions from her companion, an expression of deep concentration appeared on the puppy's features. She was preparing for something big, opened her maw and was about to.... well - bark, but this did not happen. Because she gave a hefty sneeze, which made her whole body jump, then sneezed some more and more, and more and did not seem to know, when to stop.

RE: bloo - RIP Issun - June 09, 2018

he continued to bark and wag his tail as the pup studied him. the barks ceased and issun’s ears raised when she got ready to imitate him. but all that came out were nonstop sneezes.

he smiled and placed a paw gently on her back. “you’ll get the hang of it,” he chuckled as he sat up.

RE: bloo - Nunataq - June 10, 2018

The coughing spell had finally exhausted itself - just in time for Nunataq to hear Issun talking and then placing a paw on her back. Girl's face lit up in mischief immediately. In her mind she turned around swiftly and sank her little piranha teeth in his paw. What happened was that in a mid-turn she lost balance, fell to her side with legs flailing. With her stub muzzle she tried to reach her playmate's paw. But no such luck - with a fat belly and short legs like hers.

"Hrumph!" she snorted in frustration, got to her feet and went to attack the dark wolf's tail.

RE: bloo - RIP Issun - June 23, 2018

the pup was quick to seize the opportunity and attempted to grab his paw again. but she lost her balance and toppled over just as before. “just won’t give up huh?” he snickered. kid’s got spirit, it was admirable.

issun let the whelp chomp down on his tail. it stung more than before, but it was nothing he couldn’t handle. he didn’t yank it away from the tiny jaws.

RE: bloo - Nunataq - June 27, 2018

Nuna happily chewed the fluffy tail with series of excited growl emitting from her mouth. Since Issun did not pull away, she gave some strong tugs (as strong as a puppy her age could be) and shook it, as if it was a prey that she needed to finish off. Naturally, all this activity left her breathless and eventually she fell back on her bum and sat there panting from exertion. Black bead-like eyes looked up at her playmate and she gave out a shrill bark.

RE: bloo - RIP Issun - July 05, 2018

fade next post?

she tugged and shook his tail around like a ragdoll until she flopped down in exhaustion. issun stood up and smiled. it was probably a good time to get back to his duties, so he softly nudged the pup in the direction of her den. “go rest now,” he whispered before turning to walk away.

RE: bloo - Nunataq - July 06, 2018

The game was evidently over - Nunataq did not understand, what the adult had told her, but the way he freed himself and walked away, made everything clear. Not that this would deter her from an attempt to call him back with quick and connsecutive series of barks and disappointed wails. This did not bring him back, but drew attention from her parents. One of them was soon by her side, picked the little "stray" by the scruff and brought back to the rest of the litter.
