She was 89% joking, though that remaining 11% felt very reassured by Tegan's disgusted reaction. She stuck her tongue at him just because, then found a yawn stealing over her. Towhee fought it for a moment before the pressure forced her jaws to split, her tongue uncurling over her teeth.
"Well," she concluded, "good talk, Teg." And with nothing but a smug smile and a pat to her younger brother's shoulder, the Beta departed.
