Someone else's gain will be my loss - Siarut - July 16, 2018

@Currituck I need a puppy to make me feel better!

The man had remained silent since their departure from Jade Fern. Brooding, and grumpy reminisent of their time in the tundra. The Teekon Wilds had lifted Siarut's spirits some, but with everything that had happened recently he had slipped back into you original persona, consistently irritable. He was tired and hungry, and the stress was finally getting to him. All he wanted was to be home, he was done with this whole travelling thing, atleast with his whole family in tow.

The group was resting now in the sun, and dispite his prickly mood Siarut remain vigilant. He was slightly farther from the group than was necessary, indicating he was in no mood for idle conversation. The adults had been giving him a wide berth. Steal green orbs scanned the surrounding, as his alabaster pelt stuck out against the grass of the meadow they were staying in.

Temporary color for inuttuck, haha

In the short span of time, Currituck has started to enjoy this place. She liked the last place, too, so she suspects they’ll move again. She’s much more tired these days, too, unware of the reason why, but she battles much more with the hunger in her belly. She’s hungrier each day and isn’t fulfilled enough when she does it and there’s a drive, no matter how tired she is, to try and find something. Without much skill in the tracing and hunting department, plus a ton of floppiness to go around, she more or less weaves back and forth and around in circles, making use of the restlessness the hunger drives.

Several adults turned her down when she approached so when she saw the large patriarch in the distance, she picks up speed and barrels in her direction. As a baby deer learning to walk for the first time, she haphazardly throws herself at him. “Eat?” she requests, associating it to really mean food? “Eat!”

A soft fur ball collides with him, he was so surprised by the pup that he couldn't think of anything mean to say and he mentally berated himself for wanting to be mean to a mere pup.Her mumblings indicated she wanted something, and he couldn't fault her for being hungry. His heart ached for her, "I know child." He gave a small sigh, but there was nothing he could do at the moment. Once everyone was ready rested he would send someone to try and catch a meal for them. This land they had stumbled upon seemed rich with game, he was sure they could get a good meal while here. "You will eat soon, I promise."

Siarut doubted the child knew what he was talking about, but it didn't help his mood. Instead he just got sad. "What do you think Currituck, do you want to be home?" He wasn't sure why he tried to talk to her, but it was easier than just staring at her. "Once we are there we can play all day." He was still unsure about how their relationship might grow. Was he her uncle? She didn't have a father and Sia had no idea who her father was, but he had committed to being there for Shivali's pups. Would he be there for her in the same way? "Do you like to play?" He nudged her slightly, testing the waters. He honestly wasn't in the mood to play, but he felt the need to distract her from her hunger  if only for a little while.

Her large ears cup forward, threatening to flop over but shakily holding on. He doesn’t produce any food and her head tilts a little dramatically to the right, attempting to understand. She flops to the left when it doesn’t help, hoping this way might work better.

When it’s apparent he doesn’t have anything for her to eat, he nudges her and she plops down on her rear. A delayed swipe of her paw is all she gives him, pouting a little. She’d never gone hungry before, why does she have to now? With a overdrawn sigh, she falls forward and rolls over to her back as if she’d died!

He couldn't help but laugh weakly at the pups over dramaticized reaction as she flopped onto her belly. Gently drapping his large paw over her midsection, Siarut pinned her to the ground. Might as well work on those skills. He gently gave her a little nip on her chest as he lied down beside her. His large size made playing difficult, it was easier to play from this vantage.

He didn't want to push hi luck, but he offered her a small growl too. Trying to ignite the playfulness that was dormant within himself. It had been two years since he had played with a young pup. He could feel his paternal instinct pull strong, as he smiled at the girl. He could feel his mood lightening.

The feel of a cool nose against her chest and a nip of teeth against her belly, Currituck gives a dramatic wail and latches onto to Siarut’s large muzzle with all four feet. She licks with her back legs and squirms, opening her mouth and attempting to gnaw on anything she can get. Quite the ferocious growl comes from the tiny beast. She was going to get her belly full one way or the other!

She was fiesty Sia could give her that much, he could feel her milk teeth nawing on his large paw. His maw was to large to fit in her mouth properly, she looked a little strange. A deep rumbling laugh shook him as he watched her. He looked down at her, straining his eyes to see her a such a close distance. She was sure to feel the shacking of his form, and the hot air extinguished from his mouth with hte laughter.

RE: Someone else's gain will be my loss - Currituck - July 31, 2018

Currituck erupts in giggles as the man rumbles, closing her eyes and pressing herself close to feel the full effect. There isn’t an ounce of danger in the sound so she gently licks the spots her teeth have pressed. His laughter is welcomed and she releases her grip, falling back dramatically against the ground a second time, pawing at the air for his attention.
