there's life out there and they think i'm a dingus - Absynthe - August 26, 2018

It was dark enough for him to finally blend in with the world once again. He relished in moments like this. Absynthe had never liked the spotlight or even enjoyed attention if it was not from his brother. He had always preferred to lurk in the dark.

Purple eyes glanced back and forth, nose twitching now and then. He needed to get back to Ronnie soon. Absynthe, for once, was not sure if it was for his own sake or his brother's sake. Things had been a bit chaotic lately and he had a want to tend to everything. His brother being at the top of a list of those things.

a golden ray of shining enthusiasm trots through lush grasses- teal eyes seeming to catch the moonlight as they twinkle. she quite obviously does not mind being seen, cofidence seeming to spark off her smooth pelt as long limbs carry her with an increasing speed until she's almsot running flat out. she grins with an ecstatic pup-like enthusiasm, feeling as if she could fly as paws thud against the soft ground and she has to push down the urge to let out a howl to save drawing unwanted attention to herself. she wasn't stupid after all.[/size]

eventually she burns out, skidding to a halt as her salmon tongue lolls from her jaws and her sides heave with each heavy pant. after a few days of confusing mountain trails and frustrating circles she'd finally found herself in a cute little glade where she could stretch out and run"fuck yeah that was good" she half gasps, definitely not as fit since she'd started trying to fend for herself and her ribs were definitely a lot more visible than before but she stubbornly ignores this.

she remains oblivious to the fact that nearby another young wolf resides in the shadows as she leans back on her haunches to gather her bearings.

His ears stand tall at the voice, one he doesn't recognize but the words could almost match exactly to what his brother might say. Perhaps it is for that reason that he creeps on a bit to see who speaks with such familiarity.

In the shadows is where he planned to stay as purple eyes watched her recline. She is the opposite of him. Bright colors and even livelier eyes. Absynthe found himself having a hard time picking between jealousy and admiration.

What was so good? He finally asks as he takes a tentative step out from the shadows.

so sorry for the wait!

she continues to fail to notice the presence of the dark boy until a voice sounds somewhere off to her side causing her to jump lightly in surprise. she’s quick to push herself back up into a standing position and she spins around speedily to catch the owner of the voice. teal eyes focus in on a brute as dark as night- orbs of a unique purple colour instantly catching her full attention as her tail wags slightly. it was the first wolf she’d encountered since running away from home and even better he seemed to be near in age to her!

her head tilts to the side slightly in a quick bird-like motion as a grin tugs at the corners of her maw. “running!” she’s quick to exclaim, stretching out her long limbs again at the mere thought of taking off through the cooling air. “so who are you?” she asks curiously, eyes bright and intense as they rest upon his form. he didn’t smell like a pack so did that mean he was kicking it by himself like her? who knows maybe they could help each other. she leans back on her haunches all the while watching expectantly.
