sounds like troubling tides - Ruò - February 02, 2020

she sniffed, smelled like @Lei. her sisters scent would never be unnoticed, and despite the two not being close, in a way ruo had to count her as family; they grew up together despite the more reclusive manner she had. in reality the two didn't know anything about each other, except the siren knew of lei, way too much energy, similar to the sisters. it wasn't a wonder why she avoided them all.

however now being older, more out there, but still a woman of few words. though it was perhaps she didn't interact with her family for quite some time, that ruo forgotten why she avoided them. coming back bit by bit.

RE: sounds like troubling tides - Lei - February 02, 2020

Ying spoke of Lei Lei's sister being on the island with them, which made her extremely excited. She hadn't seen her littermates in so long, it would be great to reunite. Had she known the internal thoughts of her sister, the stormcloud may have thought otherwise-- perhaps she's lucky she isn't a mind-reader or else her feelings would've gotten hurt. However, if Lei Lei thought about it, her sister was mostly right. They truly had nothing in common consdering Lei Lei absorbed the more loud and obnoixous genes and her sister was on the reserved side. Incredibly balancing each other out to extremes like the ying yang symbol, perhaps it was nice to have someone to ground you to reality like a deadbeat sibling who probably didn't like you as much as you like them.

Lei Lei skipped through the water and fumbled around, feeling the cool salt tingle her legs and belly as she traversed through the shallow edge of the water. Her sister couldn't be too far off, the scent of her grew stronger (siblings always had a certain smell that other siblings could pick up on, it was just how familiies worked). Finally, after actually taking a tumble in the water and sommersaulting with sand grains stuck to her, Lei Lei finally saw her sister.

How long had it been? Probably too long. "Ruò!!" she called out excitedly, dashing towards her sister at a quick pace.

RE: sounds like troubling tides - Ruò - February 04, 2020

oh she remembered now, as lei tackled ruò's very soul, and falling to the sandy floor. this was one reason to evade her, rather overexciting sibling, who was like a polar opposite to herself. she was as bubbly as ying was, and surely got along more then the siren ever did to her sister. nontheless- it seems she was cherished, even if the feeling was not so mutual toward how she felt toward lei. still, it was her sister.

"莱,你好." she greeted in their tongue.

RE: sounds like troubling tides - Lei - February 04, 2020

Ruo, whether she wanted to or not, succumbed to Lei Lei's quick tackle and fell to the sandy ground. Her response, rather calm despite the predicament she caught herself in with her high-energy sister. The stormcloud placed a gentle kiss onto Ruo's nose, glad to be sharing space with her for a little (since this type of occurrence would never happen again on Ruo's terms). "So wonderful to see you, sister." She said with a joyous tone.

"Is Bo Hai here with you too?" Her brother was somewhere out in the world. It was a surprise enough that the cousins Hua, Ying, and Mei were here on this island. But now, Ruo with the possibility of Bo Hai? Fate was seemingly untying itself and letting the family get reconnected once again. Realizing her welcome was probably too long, Lei Lei pulls her weight off of her sister to let her get off the sand. Hopefully, she wouldn't have her throat slit in her sleep for her tackling.

RE: sounds like troubling tides - Ruò - February 04, 2020

oh god affection. why was she so friendly, especially to ruo, was a question. she knew how isolated she was compared to majority of family members, simply preferring the peace, and away from any issues that arose. peacefully oblivious to all- which was questionable why her sister cared for her so much. simply accepted the affectionate kiss, and gave one back. as heartless as she could be, they were still family in a way. no matter how annoying they might be, sometimes. sometimes was a broad statement.

bo hai? she too was curious on her brother and if he would show. the siblings of water-blues while she was of sandy-grays, seperated from the two. not seeing her family too much as a recluse, she only has just a small grasp on their personalities, so the siren nearly forgot his whole persona. the ruò shook her head, "表兄弟在这里."

RE: sounds like troubling tides - Lei - February 04, 2020

Bo Hai a no show? That was upsetting news, for a minute Lei Lei had the exciting idea of reuniting with her siblings and having a good time together, if she could force Ruo to go along with the idea. However, she pushed it towards the back of her head; realizing that she could be slightly, slightly, be coming off as too strong to her reclusive sibling. "That is sad that he hasn't come here," she said, tail slowing down in its' sway, "but yes, the cousins being here with us will make up for it." Mei and Lei Lei haven't seen each other yet, though Ying and Hua had already gotten re-acquanited.

Lei Lei casted her gaze away from Ruo towards the roaring sea next to them. "Just like our home, isn't it?" Familiarity was such an important aspect to Lei Lei, although she would always be forever-changing, it was important to have some things remain as consistent in her life to let her be the one that is spontaneous.

RE: sounds like troubling tides - Ruò - February 04, 2020

"这就是我喜欢的." ruò always loved the sea, if the cousins had chosen anywhere else beside the sea, she most likely would not be as willing to come. it did remind her a lot of home- but for the siren, home is where the water is. perhaps a bit obsessive, but she felt too attatched to it.. admittingly, far more then she felt for the family.

"你跟表兄弟一起?" she was being more talkative due to familiarity, and would never admit so. she wondered if lei would follow them too.

RE: sounds like troubling tides - Lei - February 07, 2020

The beach had always been a sanctuary for this band of wolves. Incredible fishermen, atheletic swimmers, master of running on the sand dunes -- their place was where the waves rolled and the sand was always caught in the fur. The familiarity of the coast would never leave these wolves.

As for the talk of family, Lei Lei felt her ears perk up at her sister's question. "I didn't follow them here, no," she started off, "but I think I'll settle with them. It sounds like they want to create home here on this beach."

It was a wondrous idea to create home somewhere else. The culture of this pack would live on, and who knows, maybe there would be newcomers who would decide to dive into adventure with the coastal pack. It was a nice dream, perhaps soon a reality.

"Do you plan to stay?" Lei Lei didn't know her sister as much as she should; she hoped Ruo would decide to stay but would have to learn to respect her sibling's choice to leave, if that were the case. Of course, she would throw every tactic to keep Ruo from walking out on them, (ex. begging, crying, guilt-tripping, etc.)

RE: sounds like troubling tides - Ruò - February 09, 2020

she did not follow, so ruo wondered how her sister wandered here. she did not know what happened to her family; only that a few caught wind some were heading out and she too became one of them. though perhaps some were different means then to meet up to yuelong, and it seemed lei lei was one of them. perhaps being mischevious elsewhere but ended up in the same place in the end.

she nodded, confirming on staying. it was comfort, while new, it still held familiarity. there was less rules to follow then of the empire. it felt nice to have travelled alone, but she never had truly been alone until leaving. ruo won't admit anything though.

RE: sounds like troubling tides - Lei - February 10, 2020

Ah, her sister was deciding to stay with the family. It would be a wonderful feeling to see so many familiar faces at one place. However, Lei Lei's thoughts drifted for a minite as she thought of outsiders. It would be a little overwhelming, wouldn't it? To be joining a large family you shared no blood with? Well, most wolves did it to begin with, they could simply learn to adapt to their way of life.

"I'm glad you will stay with us, Ruo." She said warmly, beaming at her sister with dark colored irises. Her sister wouldn't be excitable like Lei Lei, but the stormcloud still loved her anyway. Perhaps, her heart would give out eventually when she would realize that love was not always evenly distributed and returned to wolves, no matter how kind or sweet they could offer themselves to be.

"I have yet to see some places on this beach, perhaps you could show me them some time later?" A gentle request, very new to Lei Lei's usual hidden demands to be taken places at her desire. It was enough she conrnered Ruo in one place, she didn't want to be too overkill than what she deemed to be okay (which tends to be a lot).

RE: sounds like troubling tides - Ruò - February 10, 2020

end? perhaps another thread later!

"好." ruo nodded despite a rather reluctance dread to her heart, but she wasn't that cold to throw her sibling to the wilds, there was no harm in showing her around. she hoped, anyway. the isle was quite beautiful, and the siren herself has not explored each corner, but stayed very close to the waters.

she smelled something of flowers somewhere but didn't venture forth. maybe having lei could be a good opportunity to see if it's a danger. sounds like a good idea, she thought.
