From One to Another - Rain - December 07, 2014

Stupid, irritating, ignorant, the silver wolf growls to herself. Her neck still stings from having a run in with a black wolf in Redhawk. I swear if I ever catch that devil out of his pack boundaries I'll kill him. Dried blood soaks her chest and neck, bright on the white in her coat. The crusty feeling of it is starting to make her itch causing her to be even more irritable. My beautiful coat, she whines silently.

Trotting up to Whitefish River, Rain greets it with a happy wag of her tail. Without stopping, she swims in up to her chest, the ice cold water washing away the blood. She stays for a minute before swimming up on the opposite side where a wood lay. If this is another wolf's territory, let them be friendly, if not, I can always take some of my frustrations out on them. She shakes the cold water from her winter coat, hoping to dry soon. After how well her last run in with a pack went, she does not want to speak with another, but Amekaze wishes her to speak with them and so she shall. I'll be glad when Im home and done with all of this.

RE: From One to Another - Slade - December 08, 2014

As silent as the breath of a stalking panther, the dark king watched greyscale female from his perch in the shadows. He had been on his way to the river himself, another attempt of filling a cache with delicious fish, yet he was cut short by a femme who used it for washing purposes.
Delightful. More company.

After the mumbling commenced from her mouth, he kept his volcanic irises directly on her, the vibrant and violent toil of the gold and fiery orange stirring luminously in the shadows.

Was this a loner? She seemed to be cleaning cuts, and the brute wondered if his comrade MoonBane was the one to deal them.
Probably not. After all, she was still alive.
Better go play, Slade.

So he did.
"Hello, there miss," his deep baritones slid their melody to her.
Leaping down from the hill he was once on, he made his way regally toward the female.

RE: From One to Another - Rain - December 09, 2014

Rain looks up as a wolf walks toward her with a greeting. "Hi," she replies slowly. The wolf is solid black. Fantastic, another black wolf. Why does he have to be black? She stands her ground asking, "I've come asking which pack I'm speaking with and what news you may have to offer the Sunspire." She is cautious of this male, having just escaped a territorial black one. This one could be the same, but he is greeting her with a voice rather than teeth. She will give him a chance to speak before judging him as possibly another cruel black male.

RE: From One to Another - Slade - December 09, 2014

◆was this our spar one, or do we just talk? The foregetfulness is real. xD ◆

She was wary of him.
Good.

Without breaking his gaze to the greyscale girl, he kept his pace slow, showing her an impression of non hostility. His snow dusted fur gleamed in the bare light that filtered though their location.

"The Sunspire pack?"

He wondered if the snow wolfess that was their 'captive' was of the pack the girl spoke of.
Then shaking his thickly lavished mane, he disregarded the notion. Their scents differed.

"I know nothing of such a pack. However, I could have come across them in my travels. Is there any information you could tell me on them?"

Slade genuinely had no info on the pack she questioned him on. Though it wouldn't hurt to ask, now would it?

RE: From One to Another - Rain - December 10, 2014

He asks her for information on the Sunspire. She bares her teeth at him for returning the question, being that she is in no mood for games. "I wouldn't know. I am here, aren't I?" Rain raises her head and asks her question again, "Which pack does this area belong to? I do not wish to banter back and forth." Truthfully, she wishes to be on her way. The world is starting to blur as she continues to stand. She has lost quite a bit of blood and even now it still trickles down her chest.

RE: From One to Another - Slade - December 15, 2014

Oh, feisty girl.
A bark of laughter left him, and the sound bounced intimidatingly around them in the ominous woods. Slade didn't know if anyone would miss her if he just so happened to slip up and accidently rip her throat out.

"This is Black Feather. Black Feather Woods. "

A second passed, the intensity of his eyes growing with more of its fractions.

"As for information, I can give no one. What happens in this pack, stays in this pack. Yet, because you amuse me, I will offer you information, if you beat me in a nice little fight. I haven't had a good spar in years, and I'd love to stretch my muscles. "

That was a lie. He had recently killed an agouti lupine who had made the mistake of trotting pay their borders, and that was something he didn't tolerate very well.
He dragged the body to a tree, the willow that was one he frequently marked as theirs, and marked the corpse as well.
A warning.

RE: From One to Another - Rain - December 15, 2014

She bristles as he laughs, barring teeth. The male does manage to inform her of the pack who resides in these woods, but refuses to answer further. He offers a spar for more information, baiting her. Rain mentally goes over her current health coming to the conclusion that if it is a brutal fight, she would not survive. Winning any fight does not seem likely to her either, so she says, "A spar it is, but let's make it more than who wins or loses." She flicks an ear, feeling quite clever with her next words. "If I manage to sink my teeth into you three times, I win and you must answer a question. If I am unable to do so then you can ask any question of me." That should protect her from being killed if all he has to do is defend. There isn't much hope of her landing any attacks, but her pride will force her to try.

RE: From One to Another - Slade - December 15, 2014

A trick for a trick, eh? Someone who was ignorant in the verse of manipulation could not pick up on her simple little words, yet Slade was a master of such an art. It made him sick exactly that she would think she could pass such a trick on him, and retreat, unscathed, so he determined his words carefully, though blunt.

Acidly, though the smirk was place upon his maw, the brute replied,

"You realize that I can easily murder you in this, yes? After all, the smell of your blood tinged the air, and you should be grateful I don't act upon my emotions, as we speak. Though I am a gentleman, I can be a savage, as well. Yet your offer stands, and I accept it. And along with it...I wish you luck."

Slade stared at her, this greyscale girl who had quite a significant amount of courage to face him. Then again, underestimating this girl could prove a mishap he could regret. So in that case, he would have to be keen on keeping her away. He would have to focus more on speed, reliving the agility courses he had put himself through.

RE: From One to Another - Rain - December 15, 2014

Rabid, that is her definition of this wolf. He seems crazy with blood lust and full of himself. Rain ignores his words of death and tentively strikes forward with her maw. Now she just wants to sink her teeth into him to prove that even when weakened, she can be a formidable opponent. Of course, in the back of her mind she knows it is foolish to try to fight when bleeding. This couldn't end in any other way but more blood, hers specifically.

RE: From One to Another - Slade - December 15, 2014

As if all time had slowed, the brute saw her strike the instant before it happened, giving him ample time to react. He had several factors that issued warning of her motion, in his observational and analytical gaze. The way her muscles tensed beneath her tainted coat, the swift intake of air, as it whooshed behind her stirrage, the rise in electrical currency in the air, as her fur made frictional contact swifter than that of gravity's weak though apparent force.

The simple twisting of his buff frame allowed him to place himself a good chance out of harms way, out of the path of the female's teeth, the razor sharp daggers that too, filled his own maw. It was that moment, that Slade made up his mind that he would not use his mouthful of death on the girl, only honing his body as a weapon, in its own accord.

RE: From One to Another - Rain - December 18, 2014

Jaws clamp down on empty air as the black wolf swivles around to dodge her. Rain jumps to the side straight into him, her shoulder forward to take the blow. He is bigger than her, so trying to knock him off his paws probably won't work. She readies her sharp teeth to catch some part of the wolf if her attempt to shove him over fails. Being tired and sore is making her rash, striking out before thinking her moves through. Mistakes are easy to come by when one is weakened.

RE: From One to Another - Slade - December 20, 2014

◆How many blows would you like Rain to get in on Slade?◆

Slade again, saw the girl leap back to action, her determination to sink her fangs into his battle scarred flesh seeming to spur her on. His amazement went beyond just her willingness, her actions, and her swift motions, even as she was obviously hurt. He would have asked his alphess if she could have done something to assist her health, yet the girl had a death wish. He knew his promise to himself, however, and would stick to it. Even if she was trying to spill his own blood.

This female came over again, swiveling her forsm, writhing and weaving in the manner of some possessed serpent, and Slade found himself moreso mezmorized by her movement than attempting to dodge her attack.
Then he felt teeth connect with the front of his shoulderblade, the only reason he could keep her away from his life line was by his sudden reaction to her abrupt death dance, and stepping back just in time. And instantly, he thrust his form forward rather than stepping back, because every skilled fighter would know it was foolish to pull away from a bite, the risk of losing skin, fur, and tendon, anything that was within the jawz of the opponent. He felt her ivories within his skin, and the very touch of her on him, within his personal space, was enough to give him the benifit of going into his mentality of War.

Slade dug his hind claws into the thick and hard packed dirt, gaining the support he would need to perform what he needed to do. With himself braced, Slade crouched, then suddenly shoved the front of his body forward, a heave that, in his opinion, could knock trees airborn.
And considering he was a thouroughly muscled individual,he could only agree with his opinion.

RE: From One to Another - Rain - December 27, 2014

So sorry it took me so long to reply, I've been dealing with some stuff. But this is all casual so it doesn't matter the number of hits. We can keep playing it out and see how it goes

She could feel the wolf crouch beneath her and tense to jump forward. Clenching her jaws a bit so she can tear a bit of skin with her, she closes her eyes against the pain she knows will result from his actions. He shoves forward into her, knocking her off her paws and sending her up and out over the ground. She falls on her back with a thump and lies there stunned. A thought of a past fight crosses her mind, of a trick that a lone wolf had pulled on her. Rain lays limp on the ground with eyes closed and waits for this muscled male to come closer. She hopes that he falls for her trick and believes he will. He knows she is already weak from blood loss and the impact she just took should have knocked her out. She isn't sure if she can jump to her paws as quick as the loner had managed, or even get up at all, but she is determined.

RE: From One to Another - Slade - December 31, 2014

His shove had done its job, and a bit well, in his opinion. She was out. Slade only smiled. A reaction devoid of emotion.
He had no sympathy for her. She had earned her unconsciousness.

Slade could see her lying there, and found the sight beautiful. The blood, the solemn silence of their surroundings, the early grave.
However, when in sudden death, could she fight back?

"Awaken yourself, girl. You still breathe, and the breath of life has not left you, yet."

Slade discerned the difference between life and death, an death was more familiar to him, especially considering how he was from a land full of it. And now residing in another land stocked with the same, if not more of the destined release.
The dark king was perfectly content with staying there until she had come back to consciousness.
She was merely unconscious.
Or so he thought.

RE: From One to Another - Rain - January 03, 2015

So her plan to fool him hadn't worked. She looks at him, her head tilted up with her eyes narrowed. Pulling her legs under her, she attempts to stand, but her legs shake with exhaustion. She collapses back on the ground with a groan. "I'm not so sure I can," she tells him with wariness. The fact that she can't get up makes her nervous. If he attacks her now, she won't be able to get away. She tries to stand again, but ends up with the same results. Lying her head on the ground, Rain lets out a sigh. "I think I need a break if you wish to continue this." So much for her getting in a few hits.

RE: From One to Another - Slade - January 06, 2015

It wasn't as if Slade had a soft spot for wounded damsels, or as though he found no honor in murdering an enemy while they were down.
He simply made a promise that he would not let his cursed jaws touch a single hair upon her body. If she hadn't have been so rude when his questions were posed, he would have considered asking the shadow queen to spare a few Herbs to heal her, however, she had lost the chance.

Slade walked over, and stood over her. Staying there, it was an obvious offer of his shoulder to her, a bit of assistance for her to lean upon him.
In the dark baritones he held as his voice, he spoke softly to her,

"Come, I will escort you home, and guard you from any and all who may bring you harm. Then, once you step past your borders, I will await your return. We will finish our little 'dance' later."

Still standing there, Slade realized that she had previously said she could not stand.

"If you are unable to move, I will redirect you to an abandond den , and bring you a bit of food. No harm will trespass, for you are not on pack lands. While you rest, I will give your leader word of you under my care, to entrust they do not take your dissapearance as a kidnapping. "

Looking down at the stone and ruby layered fae, he concluded.

"The choice is yours, girl."

RE: From One to Another - Rain - January 09, 2015

Rain looks up at the black wolf as he comes to stand over her, feeling even more nervous. Her hackles rise a little, but his next words both confuse and sooth her. He asks if she would like an escort back to her territory or to a den if she can't move. Then they can finish their 'dance' as he said it, later. She isn't sure why he is being kind to her, it doesn't make since after she had challenged him, but questioning it would do no good. The decision of staying close by suits her a little more than the thought of trying to walk to her territory with no strength, "I would be grateful for a den to stay until I can recover my strength. Though it is not necessary to alert my Alpha to my whereabouts due to the fact that I am here because my Alpha has asked me to be" She attempts to climb to her paws again, but the results are the same as the first few times. Rain looks pleadingly up to the black wolf, not wishing to admit that she needs his help.

RE: From One to Another - Slade - January 09, 2015

A solemn face watched as she again tried to recover her footing, only for her effort to be in vain. It was obvious she was hurt, and losing blood swiftly evey second she moved. The crimson silk lavished the very ground the female laid upon, the puddle seining around her slowly.
Such a tantilizing perfume, the ruby drink..

"It is unfourtionate that you find yourself unable to rise, girl. I also find it unfourtionate that you believe I will let someone who holds as much courage as a honey badger, lay on grounds close to Black Feather. As a token of your humility and determination, I give you a slice of the desert in which you came for."

Slade didn't intend to give her any information of hostages, but he was vile enough to trust a girl who had risked her life, struck a deal with th devil himself, and survived. She deserved a bit of info. Plus, he was possibly saving her life by telling her this.

"BlackFeather members are not very,..kind,..and I can promise you with the essesnce of my black soul, that they would not give you what I give you now. These lands are dangerous, girl. The wolves who live here, live here for a reason. Because they too, are dangerous. And from what I've seen, what I've been a part of,...if you are seen near this pack without a substantial reason, you will, and I emphasis Will, be killed. Without a second thought."

Slade looked towards the dying light of the sun, the holiness of the sun retreating for the sinfulness of the night to take over. And with the darkness, things would change. Slade even felt it within himself, the very good he had been showing the greyscale girl, he was finding less and less reasoning for it.
The savage was returning.

Swiveling swiftly on his heel, the trotted to a fallen log. Backing up, he used his thick hind legs as the power to push the medium length log ever to the base of tree where she was. He continued this until about 4 logs were piled onto of one another, next to her. He continued the same motion for the other side in which she lay, and then took the now unsheathed jaws of his to drag a broken log on top, both holding the pile together, and givin her a bit of a roof. Lightly panting, he turned to her.

"If you find yourself unable to drag your body 3 feet to a den, then you have no other option to living. And considering that BlackFeather is not known very well for its hospitality, or it's ability to keep others who are not of the pack, alive, I have to ensure a scout party will not search for you. Nor send other,..interviewers. One thing we do not need is publicity. "

The sun,..it is half hidden.

"I will find someone who can bandage your wound. I know of a golden wolf who has steered me properly for years. I can trust him. Also, he will send you food. I will make sure of it."

Two thirds hidden,...

"Stay low, stay quiet, and do not utter a sound unless you her te sound of nails upon tree bark, and even then, stead fast until you hear 3 scratches made. That is a signal either I or Ashton will give you. You will be safe then."

His view has been obscured, the darkness permeatin the thick and tangled woods. Within him, his heart beats quicker, pulsing more blood through his veins, his pupils dialating to enhance his view.
The shadows awaken.

RE: From One to Another - Rain - January 11, 2015

The black wolf tells her that he cannot let someone as courageous as a honey badger lie on the ground so close to Blackfeather Woods. She can only wonder what a honey badger is and hopes that it is not an insult. He then proceeds to give her what he called 'a slice of dessert' and tells her a little about Blackfeather. She feels somewhat disturbed by the information he provides. These wolves were like the one that she had just left. Willing to kill on sight, but why was this black one different from his pack?

Rain can only watch the strangeness of the wolf's behavior as he begins to build a small cave for her. She is grateful for the shelter, but he didn't have to build her one. They could have easily just found one. After the shelter is built, he tells her that he will bring back a wolf to heal her. She starts feeling even more confused and uncomfortable with this strange wolf. She would do the same if it came to a wolf that was hurt in front of her, but this wolf's pack are supposed to be killers. Why should he show kindness to her?

He was in a hurry, she could tell that something was wrong. She doesn't voice her suspicions, instead she thanks him. "
I will remain as undetectable as possible. I don't want to get caught and killed. And I am grateful for your help."

RE: From One to Another - Slade - January 11, 2015

◆Gonna say this is my last post, and I'll start you a post with Ash. Beautiful thread, Rain. W_^V◆

He found it harder to concentrate on the girl, her very prescence throbbing a feelin inside of him, the one he repressed until the night had dominated the sky.
It took strength, pushing the feeling back.
And it drained him.

Slade found himself mute. He questioned as to why he suddenly could not speak, and logicalized it to be his conscious making an effort to prevent him from snarling at the bleeding fae. The holds would not last forever, but in the remaining time he had, he simply watched her, a conversation in his eyes, the fiery irises promising her real pain, but glimmers that shown he didn't mean it.

A nod. The remaining sense he had was ebbing, and after the affirmation was finished, the dark king turned, and walked stiffly through the night, to the Woods, placing himself as far away from her as he still had intellect to do.
After several minutes, the resonation of a howl broke the silence of the woods, the meaning clear.

Any and all found near the territory of the Woods, will be murdered.
No questions asked.

The corrupt borne man ended the death promise with a growl, and turned to prowl the Web. A search for any living soul who dared touch the lands of his home.
The home of lunatics, murderers, and forsaken promises.
BlackFeather Woods.
