Whenever you have time <3
The days flew by, and Candle's fears abated. @Zoug remained steady, remained hers, and in time she found her love for him flaring anew; different now, somehow more than it had been. He was a good father, a good mate even in the face of her distance, and these things had only deepened her feeling for him. Between four children and many more among the rest of The Tribe, they were hard-pressed to find a moment alone, but eventually that moment came.

She went to him with the same onslaught of affection she'd reserved for him since the day they'd promised their futures to one another, and a wordless invitation to join her as she pranced through the ravine. For the moment their children were asleep, and they were free to run and play as they wished. Candle's eyes were bright on her mate.

he was tired often, but with a good ache that came from tending the many children of the tribe.

he brought her three skinned lizards and let her cover his stoic face with kisses, his tail alighting with long sweeps behind his hips.

zoug tossed a lizard up, then another! then the third, making a longer sound of delight as he darted to catch the second! the first!
