Duck Lake crown of thorns

Fox wondered why such a young'un was so uptight and scared to get down and dirty. As a child, Fox had been nothing like him. She was always getting into the muddiest pits, scrapping with her siblings, and had been known to come home smelling like poop of all sorts. She was hoping this prissy little kid stopped trying so hard to be clean and proper. It was in Fox's opinion that wolves his age should be out causing a ruckus. Once they got older, it got all "unacceptable" or something. Not that Fox had actually heeded that social standard. Being just a year old, she had plenty of time to mature if she wished to.

After a moment, the child finally did decide to join in her little game, which pleased her. It seemed he was not quite as prissy as she had originally thought (though she did not imagine he'd be shitting on ducks). When he grinned, so did Fox, not hesitating one bit to go right back after the waddling creatures with her jaws snapping this way and that.
