Since I haven't been ranked yet, and I'm eager to play Roge', I decided to do a sorta IC joining thread -- hope that's okay! :)

A couple days ago, Jolly Roger had departed from the cold coast—where he spent most of his more lonely days (in the comfort of the sea)—and found himself haphazardly at the borders of a well-surrounded pack. He had crossed other packs since leaving Tortuga, having first traveled south and then back north, but none had been as close to the ocean as his homeland, so the lanky youth had paid none of them any mind.

These were the first borders he'd come across where he could still smell the salty waves, and weary of the wintry weeks he had spent on his own, he decided that this would be a good-enough place to settle. Even though one should not judge a book by its cover, Roger hadn't exactly been bred to be contemplative or make decisions that weren't made in haste—so two days after finding Horizon Ridge's perimeter, he returned with a fishy prize in an offering to join.

A foot-and-a-half brown trout hung limply from his jaws, and by the time he arrived, he and his catch had mostly dried from the journey. Dropping the fish, he sent up a sharp, choppy howl for the pack's inhabitants, and then seated himself after his call had died away. But Jolly was obviously unable to mask his excitement by the mindless way in which his red, bushy tail thumped lightly, continuously behind him.
