*waves!* :D

For the few days that had passed, the hollow proved to be rather idyllic. Mordecai did not take it for granted, instead opting to be proactive in his rounds of the borders on that day. He had steered clear of them for a day or two in part to explore the ranges beyond their claim, and what he had learned there had not changed his opinion of the valley as a whole. It was idyllic in comparison to the plains to the west of the looming mountains and as a result, he was easy-going in his ventures.

Such a venture had taken him away from the borders at one point and back into the depths of the woodland. Where he had been content to seek out Harlyn and see what she was up to, he became distracted by an unfamiliar scent in the wind. It drew him in swiftly and as he grew closer to one of their newer subordinates, Mordecai came to the realization that this must have been someone Harlyn had taken in. She had spoke about those who had came along just as he had and he found that now at the helm of a pack, he had to meet them. There would be no repeat of being an outlier here like he had done with the Plateau.

And so, he found him hot on the trail of something not much more than a few minutes later. With a chuff to capture his attention, Mordecai offered a friendly wave of his tail as he made an approach, nose skirting along the ground to also join the potential hunt.

"After something good?" he asked with forming smile.
