The Tangle BWP3: PREY OPPORTUNITY

i tried to keep up as best i could and stay vague. i kept my post open so someone can try to intercept kjalarr if they want! c:

It was chaos. There were words, but there was a flurry of movement on both sides that caused Kjalarr to balk as they fought and tore at the deer carcass. The lack of distinction in pelt colors — which seemed to meld together — gave him a fleeting moment of panic. Never before had Kjalarr been faced with something of this magnitude: any fight he'd been apart of had been indisputably one on one and there had not been much outer interference. A deep breath in the small spread of seconds that passed allowed him to regain any composure he'd lost and discern Saltwinter's side from the Keep's side. The strangers were trying to pull it away from Ankyra Sound, while the wolves of Saltwinter were trying to take what they could, or trying to pull it towards their home. Caiaphas was engaged with the stranger pack's leader, he noted. Oddly enough, he had seemingly went ignored and that caused the viking's fur to bristle with unabated irritation. Coupled with the already present irritation of these strangers being on Saltwinter's self-claimed hunting ground birthed a seething ire within him that roiled beneath the scarred northman's skin, the heat of which he felt in his bones.

With a snarl his gaze landed on the dark coated male who spoke that it was their kill and that they earned it. A lost plight of words upon the Viking whose culture was infamous for their raiding habits. “On our hunting grounds. The buck is forfeit to us.” Kjalarr reiterated, harshly; and then he lunged forth, jaws parted for a part of the deer that was unclaimed, his intent to rip off whatever he could, or attempt to aid in the effort to seize it, so long as he wasn't intercepted first.
