I have the feeling they'll get along, or is that just me? :P
Gluskap was not the only wolf in the woods, not far off Lagertha stalked a twitchy squirrel as it nibbled on a berry of some sort. Lag wasn't good with plants, had few she could name especially so far from Kattegat. The plants here were all different.
The squirrel didn't seem to see her coming, the wind blew away from it and Laggy was practically silent as she crept up on it. With a well aimed pounce, Lagertha snatched up the squirrel and crushed its throat. The Valkyrie felt a sliver of triumph, tempered by curiosity when she heard the sound of humming not so far off.
Following the noise, Lagertha came upon a coywolf whom seemed distracted at the moment and was humming softly under his breath. She settled the squirrel on the ground before speaking, lapsing into her native tongue absently. "Hallo, Jeg er Lagertha. Hvem er du?"
The Gods always smile on the brave women.
