Whitefish River capsize

The fur along her nape settled down when the stranger made no move to approach. She could sense the awkwardness that hung between them, could almost taste it, but she made no move to correct it. She had given him the reigns and it would be he who decided whether the conversation continued on stopped. 

The question he asked caused a confused and slightly worried expression to come crawling along the female's features. "Fine" she answered, her voice quiet, almost a whisper. "Do I look ill?" she asked then worried about both her appearance and health.
