Moonspear everything the light touches

She seemed happy to see him, and it lessened the chances of Dash being upset that she was out here all alone. She gnawed on his leg, and he in turn lowered his head to try and place some kisses on her head. Sure, we can go explore, he confirmed with a smile. She wouldn't be alone now, and Dash felt he could dictate where they went. That way, he could pick a safer place. He began to look around, trying to think of such a place, when his gaze went back to her as she asked how he knew it was her. He grinned. Who else would come stalking out here all alone without asking an adult first? He was assuming she hadn't asked, since he didn't think the others would say yes, but he waited for confirmation anyways. His voice was light and playful, letting her know she wasn't in trouble.

The wind shifted, and brought it a fear the ran through to Dash's core. The smile was wiped from his face as his body stiffened and his eyes moved to search for the threat. But, he did not look so much as to let Alya out of his sight. He moved, trying to put her under his belly, knowing it might save her life. The threat was downwind of them, and though Dash had yet to spot it with his eyes, knowing the general direction of it, he hoped nothing would come from behind. Stay still, Alya, he said softly, but firmly. Maybe the hunter would move on, leave them be now that it was somewhat ousted. Dash could only hope.
