For Isley the thought that they could fall - that any of them could - left her on high alert, left the entire pack on edge. They patrolled tirelessly, and she knew that Palisader had gone to the beach to inform the other wolves. For the healer, it meant that she felt safer among their trees, and her thoughts clouded.
