What wicked little twist of fate placed you here upon my plate? Here where no one hears your cries?

There was no wolves for him to sate the bloodlust that gnawed and coiled his insides with. He settled for the second best thing: a coyote, small and feeble as it was, it was still a meal for the man. His hunt for the lupine cousins struck two birds with one stone: it diminished his hunger, and rid the Watch of pests. He tracked down the creatures, exterminating them with a mix of cold precision and savage delight. He did not know how many originally lingered near and in their new homes, but he figured now that the population had severely dropped, out of fear or mortality.

He found one lone coyote nervously trotting, perhaps in some attempt to get as far away from the Watch as possible. Athan tracked the creature with glee before he began to give chase, eventually driving the small creature to the lake. He didn't notice the boy, his indigo eyes focused entirely on the coyote, a slow vicious snarl rumbling in his chest as he neared the creature, slamming headfirst into it.

The force of impact drove both canids into the water, submerging the both of them momentarily. The water frothed as both swam towards the surface, but Athan was faster, securing his teeth around the creature's neck. The coyote shrieked as Athan pulled himself and the coyote out of the water, depositing it on the shore, one paw pinning him before Athan's teeth tore through the softness of his throat.
WARNING! this boy thinks hes a vampire. regardless of the validity of this, he does get a weird kick out of biting wolves and drinking their blood and just blood in general... He considers most wolves his potential prey, and is liable to attack at random if he believes he can take down a wolf.
