She nodded in agreement to his statement of his hare not being as smart as hers. Or as fast, she surmised, looking at the hole in the ground that her hare had disappeared into. It wouldn't be coming out for quite a while, and she wasn't going to wait around for it to, either. 

Her gaze turned back to Howl when he offered up his own hare to her. She was a bit surprised, seeing as how he earned it, fair and square. She wondered if he felt sorry for her losing her own, which she would not like. Don't feel bad for me losing mine, she stated, getting that out of the way. But, just in case that wasn't the reason for his offered, she added, Why don't we share it? she didn't want to be rude, but she still didn't fully believe he wasn't hungry. Wolves hunted for two reasons: to train their young and to eat.
