In that instant one last bit of fight surged through him and instead of thrashing he twisted carefully, a low whine leaving his maw and ears going back as he pretended to submit. Then as he was lowered, he snapped his jaws catching a bit of skin between his teeth and pulled back, scampering away. He didn't go back in for another attack, instead he stood there dripping blood from all his wounds.
