The gray cloudy skies added an even more grim atmosphere to the distant view of the Tonrar island. Wrapped by thick fog and darkened by the eerie weather, the rock in the middle of the Tarritut lake seemed posessed by ghosts. Or even a ghost itself.

That was a place to explore.

The new caretaker knew that this forest, ancient and wild, would prove to be a challenge when it came to raising the Alpha's pups. Too many things could go wrong. Cliffs were easy to stumble upon. Ancient trees cracked with the wind, threatening to stumble to the ground at any moment. Predators still lurked about, unseen by the main inhabitants. And just to mention a couple more things, neither Kerosene nor Tonravik were experienced with child up-bringing.

Maybe he'd come to the right place after all.

The tips of his toes got wet and cold as the tides went up and down over the rocky shore. The pale wolf stared at the distant island, yearning to swim to it's shores and delve inside to uncover it's deep secrets. But this wouldn't be the day.
