A lone wolf carried themselves differently from a pack wolf; that, and the mention of mouths to feed gave him a clearer picture. This guy wasn't just a super determined individual - he was after far more than what Riordan could provide, or even assist with.

The question of tracks made the young man's right ear fan back, then forwards; an idle tic from when he was a child. "Hm. I haven't been scouting this place for long, but so far I've only really found small game. That and some fox holes - they probably can't resist the easy huntin' in these parts." So, that was that. Nothing worth hunting - at least for the lone wolf - but if this guy was serious, maybe they could track something down.

"I'd be willin' to help you look, though, if you gimmie a bite or two." They might have a better chance if more of this stranger's buddies showed up, but... Riordan wasn't entirely willing to trust a horde of strangers. "Deal?"
