When they came, spearheaded by a snarling Kaskara, Bazi cried so hard she thought her chest might rip itself apart. The bear turned away to face her fresh attackers, and a beaten, dirty mother rushed to fetch her children - to bring them home. She and Allure extracted Swift from the nest, guiding him into the light beyond the Haunted Wood and into his father's waiting paws. The look in his eyes sliced clean through Bazi's heart. She stared at him, willing him to look back, to see it written in her eyes that it wasn't his fault. Those feelings would evolve, of course - as they always did; Bazi's mind was as unpredictable as a witch's cauldron operated by a band of drunk occult novices. But in that moment, safe and sound for the first time in days, she felt a glimmer of that love that had united them. But he did not look at her, and without speaking a word to each other, the four Grove wolves escorted their children back home.

Done!
