Blackfeather Woods blood ran cold

The little lion had limped by Xan's side the whole way to Blackfeather. As they traveled along, thoughts flowed into the young boy's head. Had it been a good idea to follow the snowy wolf back? What if Burke didn't want him there? What would Lusa say if she knew he betrayed her? The last thought was shaken out of his head. Why should he care for her anymore? She never gave anything to him. He didn't owe anything to that women.


As they neared the familiar darkness of the wood, a small shiver went down his spine. It still had that same mysterious and scary vibe to it. Such and unsettling feeling. Some of the wolves in it were even more unsettling. He did not wish to meet the two males who kidnapped his brother and he certainty wasn't ready to see Burke again. But he wasn't ready to face his family either. This place was the best the child could live.


When they stepped onto the border, Leo lay down on his side, feeling rather winded. Walking with a broken paw proved to be a challenge. He couldn't wait 'till the pain was over.
