The fluffy object elicited a predatory response, the sooty little beast leaping midair to snatch the quarry down. Inky jaws did not desire to relinquish their hold, clenched firmly despite the sudden drag of weight against prize. Only when needle teeth appeared fully latched did fangs part to drop the requested token, a slouch of shoulders play bowing in feigned interest. A paw snaked out to touch the fire-furred tail, testing the possession of the cub by dragging it away mere inches from where it rest betwixt baby teeth.
