Magpie was quick and agile, but unused to fighting; and so was unprepared as the male barreled toward her. Although she moved to dodge, she had realized the male's intention too late and she took the brunt of his "attack". She backpedalled a few steps to keep balance, eyes never leaving the male— waiting his next move, for he had the advantage and she was unable to recover fully before he came towards her for round two.
The two sparred for sometime, until Magpie felt thoroughly exhausted and beaten. She was not wounded, but her muscles would ache tomorrow for the work she had made them do.
