It was not hell, she concluded. But it was nothing short of purgatory. Nothing was left in the aftermath of the insects. But she had a journey, and a wave of giant, flying grasshopers would not stop her path. There was time to ride out the wave, but not for long. Barren trees and all signs of life disaperated as if it wasn't even there in the first place. Only the lake reflected any sign of natuaral life, and even then, it was still. Unmoving as the world around her seemed. She stood at it's banks, watching dead insects wave up and back down into the water below. A sickly, urging feeling in her stomach made her growl, realising her own anatmony had betrayed her. The desperation for food had grown within the last few days, and it had been too long since she consumed enough.

Knowing her hunt would not likely turn out a sucsess, she began to scouer what was left of the forest of any meat substance she could find. Everything had been driven from their homes to find their own food, and with that a feral growl came from within her. If she had only stayed longer in Trigeda, she could have ignored this whole damn thing. No, she could not stay another night there. Even if their herds were plentiful and lands were flourishing. There was no going back. It was then a flash of white crossed her perhiperals. It couldn't be, an ulterior smile made it's wya to her face. Rabbit.

Against her desire, she approached slowly, not wanting to waste her only chance. but sppn she could not contain her hunger. She lept at the rabbit, just missing the snag of it's tail. It buried itself in a nearby rabbit hole while she clawed her way to it. "Jok!" How could she miss it? She wouldn't. The alcove the rabbit was hiding in son collapsed under the paws of Rebekka's desperation and out she dragged an estranged crying rabbit. She held the squeelin thing in her mouth until it's heart stopped, taking it back to the lake to devour. This rabbit was one in a million, she knew. Any lurkers nearby would kill for it. She wouldn't let that happen.
